Psalms Chapter 77
I called out to God with my voice, like, "Yo!" and He legit heard me.
[To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph.] I cried unto God with my voice, {even} unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. {of: or, for}
When things got real tough, I looked for the Lord: my pain was non-stop during the night, and my soul was like, "No cap, I can't vibe."
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the night, and ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted. {sore: Heb. hand}
I reflected on God and got stressed out: I spilled my thoughts, and my spirit was just overwhelmed. Selah.
I remembered God, and was troubled: I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. Selah.
My eyes were wide open, but I was so shook that I couldn’t even say a word.
Thou holdest mine eyes waking: I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
I reminisced about the good times, the years that were straight fire.
I have considered the days of old, the years of ancient times.
I thought about my nighttime anthem: I was feeling it in my heart, and my spirit was deep in the zone.
I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.
Is the Lord just gonna ghost me for real? Is He done showing love?
Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?
Did His mercy just peace out for good? Is His promise over?
Is his mercy clean gone for ever? doth {his} promise fail for evermore? {for evermore: Heb. to generation and generation?}
Has God fully forgotten to be nice? Is He mad and keeping His kindness under wraps? Selah.
Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.
I was like, "This is rough," but I'm gonna think back on the legendary times from the most High.
And I said, This {is} my infirmity: {but I will remember} the years of the right hand of the most High.
I’ll recall what the Lord has done: for sure, I'm gonna remember Your throwback miracles.
I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
I’m gonna reflect on all Your work and talk about what You pull off.
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
Your path, God, is in the sanctuary: who’s as lit as our God?
Thy way, O God, {is} in the sanctuary: who {is so} great a God as {our} God?
You're the God who performs wonders: You showed off Your power among the homies.
Thou {art} the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.
You saved Your people with Your strength, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.
Thou hast with {thine} arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.
The waters saw You, God, and were shook; even the depths were like, "Whoa."
The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they were afraid: the depths also were troubled.
The clouds dropped rain: the skies made noise: Your arrows were shooting everywhere.
The clouds poured out water: the skies sent out a sound: thine arrows also went abroad. {poured...: Heb. were poured forth with water}
Your thunder was rumbling in the sky: the lightning lit up everything: the earth was shaking.
The voice of thy thunder {was} in the heaven: the lightnings lightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.
Your path is in the sea, and Your route is in the deep waters, and we can't even follow Your moves.
Thy way {is} in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.
You guided Your crew like a squad with Moses and Aaron leading the way.
Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
