Psalms Chapter 69
Ayo God, rescue me; the waves are smashing against my spirit, fr.
[To the chief Musician upon Shoshannim, {A Psalm} of David.] Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto {my} soul.
I'm stuck in mud, no way to stand: I'm sinking in the deep end, floods hitting hard.
I sink in deep mire, where {there is} no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. {deep mire: Heb. the mire of depth} {deep waters: Heb. depth of waters}
I'm over crying; my throat's parched and my eyes are giving out while I wait on you, God.
I am weary of my crying: my throat is dried: mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
The haters outnumber the hairs on my head; they wanna drag me down for no reason, and I didn’t even take anything.
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, {being} mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored {that} which I took not away.
Yo God, you peep my mess-ups; my sins are straight up out in the open to you.
O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee. {sins: Heb. guiltiness}
Don’t let those who roll with you, Lord, be embarrassed because of me; don’t let those chasing you be confused on my account, God of Israel.
Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
I’ve taken the heat for you; shame’s all over my face, no cap.
Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
I'm like an outsider to my fam, and a stranger among my mom's kids, for real.
I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
The zeal for your house is eating me alive; the shade thrown at you is hitting me hard.
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
When I weep and fast, it just adds to my struggles, periodt.
When I wept, {and chastened} my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.
I made sackcloth my drip; now I’m basically a meme to them.
I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
They’re hanging at the gate talking smack about me; I’m practically the anthem for the tipsy squad.
They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I {was} the song of the drunkards. {drunkards: Heb. drinkers of strong drink}
But for real, my prayer’s on fire, Lord; in the right vibes, hear me, God, with your mercy and truth.
But as for me, my prayer {is} unto thee, O LORD, {in} an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
Pull me outta this mess, don’t let me drown; save me from the haters and these deep feels.
Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Don’t let the flood take me down, or the deep vibes swallow me up; keep the pit from closing in on me.
Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.
Listen up, Lord; your love is lit: turn to me with all your good vibes.
Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness {is} good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
Don’t leave me hanging, Lord; I’m in a tough spot: hear me fast.
And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily. {hear...: Heb. make haste to hear me}
Come close to my soul and save it: rescue me from my enemies, no cap.
Draw nigh unto my soul, {and} redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
You know my battles, my shame, my whole vibe: my haters are all in your sight.
Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries {are} all before thee.
My heart’s shattered from the shade; I’m weighed down and looking for a vibe buddy, but no one’s around; needed comfort, but found nada.
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked {for some} to take pity, but {there was} none; and for comforters, but I found none. {to take...: Heb. to lament with me}
They gave me bitter stuff instead of food; when I was thirsty, they hit me with vinegar. No cap.
They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Let their feast turn into a snare for them; what should’ve been chill for them is now sus.
Let their table become a snare before them: and {that which should have been} for {their} welfare, {let it become} a trap.
Blind their eyes so they can’t see; make them shake like they’re on a wild ride.
Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.
Pour out your anger on them, and let your wrath hit them hard. Savage.
Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.
Let their spot be empty; no one should be vibing in their tents.
Let their habitation be desolate; {and} let none dwell in their tents. {their habitation: Heb. their palace} {let none...: Heb. let there not be a dweller}
They go after the one you’ve hurt; they’re talking smack about those you’ve wounded.
For they persecute {him} whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. {those...: Heb. thy wounded}
Stack their sins up high; don’t let them vibe with your righteousness.
Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness. {iniquity unto...: or, punishment of iniquity, etc}
Wipe them from the book of the living; don’t let them join the righteous crew.
Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
But I’m down bad and feeling it; let your salvation, God, raise me up.
But I {am} poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
I’m gonna sing praises to God’s name and hype him up with thanks.
I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
This vibe pleases the Lord way more than an ox or bull with big horns, no cap.
{This} also shall please the LORD better than an ox {or} bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
The humble peeps will catch this and feel blessed: your heart's gonna thrive if you seek God, periodt.
The humble shall see {this, and} be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God. {humble: or, meek}
For the Lord hears the struggle, and he ain't ignoring his peeps in jail, fr.
For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.
Let the sky and earth throw some praise, the seas, and everything that moves, pop off!
Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein. {moveth: Heb. creepeth}
God’s gonna save Zion and build up Judah’s cities so they can chill there and own it, bet.
For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession.
The squad of his servants will inherit it, and those who love his name will vibe there, no cap.
The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
