Psalms Chapter 66
Shout out for God, all you nations: let’s vibe!
[To the chief Musician, A Song {or} Psalm.] Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: {all...: Heb. all the earth}
Sing about how incredible He is: let His praise be fired up.
Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
Yo, God, your works are crazy! Your power makes foes kneel, no cap.
Say unto God, How terrible {art thou in} thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. {submit...: or, yield feigned obedience: Heb. lie}
The entire earth's gonna worship you and rep your name, periodt.
All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing {to} thy name. Selah.
Come see what God’s done: He’s hard with how He treats us humans.
Come and see the works of God: {he is} terrible {in his} doing toward the children of men.
He switched the sea to dry ground: we walked through the flood and it was a whole vibe.
He turned the sea into dry {land}: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
He’s reigning forever; He peeps all the nations: let the haters chill, Selah.
He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
Yo, give props to our God, everyone, and let your praise ring out!
O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
He keeps our souls thriving and doesn’t let us trip, fr.
Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved. {holdeth: Heb. putteth}
You, God, tested us: you’ve tried us like silver.
For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
You caught us in a trap; you sent some challenges our way.
Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
You let people roll over us; we went through fire and water, but you led us to a blessed spot.
Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy {place}. {wealthy: Heb. moist}
I’m rolling into your crib with burnt offerings: keeping my word to you,
I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
The ones I spoke with my lips when I was in a rough patch.
Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble. {uttered: Heb. opened}
I’ll bring you burnt offerings from the best animals, with the sweet vibe of rams; I’ll offer bulls and goats, Selah.
I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. {fatlings: Heb. marrow}
Come and hear, all you who respect God, and I’ll share the scoop on what He’s done for me.
Come {and} hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
I cried out to Him with my mouth, and my tongue was lit praising Him.
I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
If I’m holding onto sin in my heart, the Lord won’t hear me, no cap.
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear {me}:
But for real, God heard me; He paid attention to my prayer's voice.
{But} verily God hath heard {me}; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
Big ups to God, who hasn’t turned away my prayer or His mercy from me.
Blessed {be} God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
