Psalms Chapter 58
Ayo, do you even speak the truth, fam? Are you judging right, my homies?
[To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David.] Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? {Altaschith...: or, Destroy not} {Michtam: or, A golden Psalm}
Fr, in your hearts you’re just vibing with the wicked; you’re measuring the chaos you unleash on the earth.
Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.
These bad folks are sus from the jump: they stray right from the start, spitting straight up lies.
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. {as soon...: Heb. from the belly}
Their vibe’s like that snake venom: they act like that deaf snake that won’t even listen.
Their poison {is} like the poison of a serpent: {they are} like the deaf adder {that} stoppeth her ear; {like the poison: Heb. according to the likeness, etc} {adder: or, asp}
This snake ain't about to hear the charmers, no matter how slick they try to be.
Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely. {charming...: or, be the charmer never so cunning}
God, just crush their teeth, fam, like, obliterate those young lions' fangs, Lord.
Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.
Let them flow away like water that just keeps streaming: when He pulls back His bow, let those arrows just wreck shop.
Let them melt away as waters {which} run continually: {when} he bendeth {his bow to shoot} his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.
Like a melting snail, let them just slip away: like a preemie, so they don’t even catch a glimpse of the sun.
As a snail {which} melteth, let {every one of them} pass away: {like} the untimely birth of a woman, {that} they may not see the sun.
Before your pots even touch the thorns, He’s gonna sweep them away like a storm, both living and wild.
Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in {his} wrath. {both...: Heb. as living as wrath}
The good folks are gonna be lit when they see justice: they’re gonna wash their feet in the blood of the bad guys.
The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
So people will say, for real, there’s a reward for the good: no cap, He’s a God who judges here on this earth.
So that a man shall say, Verily {there is} a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth. {a reward...: Heb. fruit of the, etc}
