Psalms Chapter 52
Why you flexing with those trash vibes, O strong homie? God's goodness is always lit.
[To the chief Musician, Maschil, {A Psalm} of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech.] Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God {endureth} continually. {Maschil: or, of instruction}
Your words are mad sus; like a blade, just slicing deep with that dishonesty.
Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.
You vibe with the bad energy more than the good; deceit is your go-to instead of keeping it 100. Selah.
Thou lovest evil more than good; {and} lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.
You’re all about that savage talk, O sketchy tongue.
Thou lovest all devouring words, O {thou} deceitful tongue. {O thou...: or, and the deceitful tongue}
God’s about to take you out for good, yanking you from your spot and grounding you for real. Selah.
God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of {thy} dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. {destroy...: Heb. beat thee down}
The righteous will peep this and be shook, then they’ll roast you:
The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:
Look at this dude who didn’t make God his strength; he’s just flexing his dough and spreading those bad vibes.
Lo, {this is} the man {that} made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, {and} strengthened himself in his wickedness. {wickedness: or, substance}
But I’m like a chill olive tree in God’s crib: I’m all about that mercy forever and a day.
But I {am} like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.
I’m gonna hype you up for life, ‘cause you came through: and I’ll wait on your name; it's straight fire with your squad.
I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done {it}: and I will wait on thy name; for {it is} good before thy saints.
