Psalms Chapter 16
Ayo, God, keep me on lock, 'cause I'm fully committed to you, no cap.
[Michtam of David.] Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. {Michtam: or, A golden Psalm}
My soul's like, "For real, you’re my vibe; my goodness doesn't even compare to yours."
{O my soul}, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou {art} my Lord: my goodness {extendeth} not to thee;
But for the holy ones in the mix, and the real ones, that's where my heart is at.
{But} to the saints that {are} in the earth, and {to} the excellent, in whom {is} all my delight.
Their drama's gonna pile up if they roll with other gods; I'm not throwing any blood offerings or even saying their names, fr.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied {that} hasten {after} another {god}: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. {hasten...: or, give gifts to another}
The Lord's my portion and my cup; you've got me covered, for real.
The LORD {is} the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. {of mine...: Heb. of my part}
I got solid vibes in my life; my heritage is straight lit.
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant {places}; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
I'm gonna praise the Lord, who gives me the realest advice; my heart's got the scoop even at night.
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
I keep the Lord in my view always; with him by my side, I ain't moving, point blank.
I have set the LORD always before me: because {he is} at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
So my heart's on fire, and I'm vibin'; my body’s gonna rest in hope.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. {rest...: Heb. dwell confidently}
You won't leave my soul in the shadows; your Holy One ain't gonna face decay, no cap.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
You'll reveal the path of life to me; in your presence, joy is overflowing, and at your right, it's all pleasure for eternity, fr.
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence {is} fulness of joy; at thy right hand {there are} pleasures for evermore.
