Proverbs Chapter 24
Avoid being envious of those toxic vibes, and steer clear of their crew.
Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
Their hearts are all about disorder, and their mouths just drop chaos.
For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
Wisdom's the masterplan for a lit crib; understanding seals the deal.
Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
Knowledge decks out the rooms with all the fire things that hit different.
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
A wise person is tough; a knowledgeable homie gets even tougher.
A wise man {is} strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. {is strong: Heb. is in strength} {increaseth...: Heb. strengtheneth might}
With dope guidance, you can face your battles; a bunch of advisors keep it secure, no cap.
For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors {there is} safety.
Wisdom's way too elevated for a fool; they don’t even speak when it’s needed.
Wisdom {is} too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.
If you're scheming evil, you’re just a straight-up sus person.
He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.
Thinking dumb is flat-out sin; haters are just a no-go for real.
The thought of foolishness {is} sin: and the scorner {is} an abomination to men.
If you back down when things get rough, your strength's kinda flimsy.
{If} thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength {is} small. {small: Heb. narrow}
If you don’t step in to help those about to get wrecked, that's sus, fam.
If thou forbear to deliver {them that are} drawn unto death, and {those that are} ready to be slain;
If you say, "I didn’t know," just remember, the one who knows your heart is watching, fr. He’ll judge everyone based on their energy.
If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider {it}? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth {not} he know {it}? and shall {not} he render to {every} man according to his works?
Yo, my dude, munch on that honey 'cause it’s hitting, and the honeycomb is straight sweet.
My son, eat thou honey, because {it is} good; and the honeycomb, {which is} sweet to thy taste: {to...: Heb. upon thy palate}
Wisdom is like honey for your spirit: when you stumble upon it, it’s a whole vibe, and your dreams won’t get crushed, periodt.
So {shall} the knowledge of wisdom {be} unto thy soul: when thou hast found {it}, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
Don’t be grimy, plotting against the righteous; leave their chill zone alone.
Lay not wait, O wicked {man}, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:
A solid person might stumble seven times but always rebounds; the wicked, though? They just sink deeper into chaos.
For a just {man} falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
Don’t flex when your adversary takes a hit; keep your heart in check when they trip.
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
'Cause if the Lord sees you being petty, He might just shift His anger away from them.
Lest the LORD see {it}, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him. {it displeaseth...: Heb. it be evil in his eyes}
Don’t sweat over evil folks or get envious of the wicked; that’s just bad vibes.
Fret not thyself because of evil {men}, neither be thou envious at the wicked; {Fret...: or, Keep not company with the wicked}
The evil person ain’t gonna score any rewards; their light is definitely gonna fade.
For there shall be no reward to the evil {man}; the candle of the wicked shall be put out. {candle: or, lamp}
Yo fam, honor the Lord and the king, and don’t roll with those who flip the script.
My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: {and} meddle not with them that are given to change: {them...: Heb. changers}
Their chaos is gonna drop outta nowhere; who really knows the fallout for both?
For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
This wisdom is for the clever folks. No cap, don’t show favoritism in judgment.
These {things} also {belong} to the wise. {It is} not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
If you’re telling the wicked they’re all good, folks gonna roast you, nations gonna be like, “Nah.”
He that saith unto the wicked, Thou {art} righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:
But if you call them out, that’s pure fire, and blessings gonna roll your way.
But to them that rebuke {him} shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them. {a good...: Heb. a blessing of good}
Everyone gonna wanna vibe with the one who drops a solid reply.
{Every man} shall kiss {his} lips that giveth a right answer. {that...: Heb. that answereth right words}
Get your hustle on outside, set it up in the field, then flex with your crib.
Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.
Don’t be a snitch against your neighbor for no reason; keep it real with your words.
Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive {not} with thy lips.
Don’t say, “I’ll do to him what he did to me.” Just keep it 100 with what he deserves.
Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.
I strolled past the lazy dude’s plot and the vineyard of someone who’s just not that sharp;
I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
Yo, it was all overgrown with thorns, and nettles were all in its biz, plus the stone wall was totally busted.
And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, {and} nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
Then I peeped it and thought deep: I checked it out and snagged some wisdom.
Then I saw, {and} considered {it} well: I looked upon {it, and} received instruction. {considered...: Heb. set my heart}
Just a lil' nap, a lil' chill, a lil' folding of the hands to catch some Z's:
{Yet} a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
So your broke vibes gonna roll up on you like a traveler; and your needs gonna hit you like a full-on squad.
So shall thy poverty come {as} one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man. {an...: Heb. a man of shield}
