Proverbs Chapter 18
When someone craves something hard enough, they go solo and soak up all that wisdom.
Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh {and} intermeddleth with all wisdom. {Through...: or, He that separateth himself seeketh according to his desire, and intermeddleth in every business}
A fool isn't about understanding; he just wants to vibe with his own feels, no cap.
A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
When the wicked show up, so does the shade, bringing pure embarrassment with it.
When the wicked cometh, {then} cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.

A fool's mouth {is} his destruction, and his lips {are} the snare of his soul.
Gossip cuts deep like wounds, hitting right in the feels, no lie.

A lazy dude at work is just a bro wasting big time.
He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
The Lord’s name is a solid fortress; the righteous run there and feel secure.
The name of the LORD {is} a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. {safe: Heb. set aloft}
A wealthy guy's riches are like his fortress; he thinks he’s invincible.
The rich man's wealth {is} his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
Before you crash, your heart gets all puffed up; but humility comes before respect.
Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour {is} humility.
Jumping to answer before listening? That's just plain foolishness and super embarrassing.
He that answereth a matter before he heareth {it}, it {is} folly and shame unto him. {answereth...: Heb. returneth a word}
A man's spirit can handle his struggles, but a crushed spirit? Who can take that?
The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
The wise dude's heart is all about knowledge, and the wise ear is always looking for more.
The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
A man's gift opens up opportunities for him, bringing him to the top tier.
A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
The first dude in his own drama seems right, but his neighbor comes in and keeps it real.

A lot can chill the drama and split the powerful apart.
The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.
An offended bro is way tougher to win back than a fortress; their beef is like castle bars.

A man's stomach gets filled with the fruit of his words; his lips are the real treat.
A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; {and} with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Life and death chill in the power of the tongue; those who love it will feast on its vibes.
Death and life {are} in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Finding a wife is a total dub, and it scores you favor from the Lord.
{Whoso} findeth a wife findeth a good {thing}, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

If a guy wants friends, he better show some charm; there’s a friend who’s closer than a bro.
A man {that hath} friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend {that} sticketh closer than a brother.
