Philippians Chapter 2
If there’s any solid energy in Christ, any comfort from love, any connection of the Spirit, or just pure mercy, let’s soak that in.
If {there be} therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
Boost my joy by being on the same vibe, sharing the same love, and sticking together like a tight crew.
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, {being} of one accord, of one mind.
Don’t let the drama or ego take over; stay humble and uplift each other, no cap.
{Let} nothing {be done} through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Don’t just worry about your own grind, but also peep what’s going on with others.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Have the same mindset as Jesus, for real, no cap.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Jesus, all divine and stuff, didn’t find it sus to vibe on the same level as God.
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
He went full send, dropping his status, and took on the role of a servant, connecting with humanity.
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
When he rolled up as a human, he kept it super humble and was down for anything, even death on a cross.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. {fashion: or habit}
That’s why God leveled him up and gave him a name that’s straight-up iconic.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
So at the mention of Jesus, everyone’s gonna hit the ground, whether in heaven, on earth, or below.
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of {things} in heaven, and {things} in earth, and {things} under the earth;
Everyone’s gotta confess that Jesus is the ultimate boss, giving mad props to God the Father.
And {that} every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ {is} Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
So listen up, fam, keep vibing with that obedience, not just when I’m around, but even more when I’m not, and work on your own salvation with some real respect.
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
It’s God who’s motivating you to wanna do good stuff and actually get it done.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of {his} good pleasure.
Do everything without stirring up drama or throwing shade.
Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
So you can be pure and chill, God’s kids, no cap, shining bright in a sus world.
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; {harmless: or, sincere} {ye shine: or, shine ye}
Keep spreading the good news; I wanna flex on the day of Christ knowing I didn’t run this race for no reason.
Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
For real, if I gotta be sacrificed for your faith, I’m down and pumped for all of you.
Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. {offered: Gr. poured forth}
So you better be hyped and celebrate with me too!
For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
I’m banking on the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus your way soon, so I can feel good knowing how you’re doing.
But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. {But: or, Moreover}
I don’t have anyone else who gets you like that, who really cares about your vibes.
For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. {likeminded: or, so dear unto me}
Everyone's just out here chasing their own vibes, not what’s Jesus’s.
For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
But you know the real deal with him; he’s been grinding with me in the gospel like a true son to the father.
But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
I'm looking to send him to you ASAP, once I see how things go for me.
Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
But I trust the Lord that I’ll be popping up soon too.
But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.
I thought it was a must to send you Epaphroditus, my dude and ride-or-die, who’s also your messenger and helped me out.
Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
He was missing you all so hard, feeling kinda down, 'cause you heard he was sick.
For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
For real, he was sick almost to the brink, but God showed him mercy; not just him, but me too, so I wouldn’t be lost in sadness.
For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
So I sent him back to you with extra care, so when you see him again, you can vibe with joy, and I won’t be as bummed.
I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. {carefully: or, with more anxious care}
Welcome him in the Lord with all the good energy; hold people like that in high regard.
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: {hold...: or, honour such}
Because he was grinding for Christ, almost risking it all to fill in for your lack of support for me.
Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
