Philemon Chapter 1
So Paul, locked up for Jesus Christ, and Timothy, our dude, sending some love to Philemon, our fam and fellow grind buddy,
Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy {our} brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,
And to Apphia, the homie, and Archippus, our fellow warrior, plus the crew in your spot:
And to {our} beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:
Grace and peace coming your way from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, no cap.
Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I’m always giving thanks to my God, keeping you in my prayers, fr.
I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,
Heard about the love and faith you got for the Lord Jesus and all the saints;
Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
So that your faith vibes could really shine by recognizing all the solid things in you through Christ Jesus.
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
We get mad joy and comfort from your love, 'cause the saints feel refreshed by you, bro.
For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.
So, even though I could drop some wisdom on you in Christ about what’s good,
Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,
For the sake of love, I’d rather hit you up, being Paul, the OG, and a prisoner of Jesus Christ now.
Yet for love's sake I rather beseech {thee}, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
I’m reaching out for my son Onesimus, who I’ve brought to life while locked up:
I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:
He used to be a liability for you, but now he’s a real asset for you and me:
Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:
I’m sending him back your way; so, please welcome him like he’s part of my heart:
Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
I wanted to keep him here to help me while I’m in chains for the gospel:
Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
But I didn’t wanna move without your blessing so it wouldn’t feel forced, but out of love.
But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.
Maybe he dipped for a minute so you could have him back forever;
For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;
Not just as a servant, but more like a beloved bro, especially for me, but even more for you, both in the flesh and in the Lord?
Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?
If you see me as a partner, treat him like he’s me.
If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.
If he’s done you wrong or owes you anything, just put that on my tab;
If he hath wronged thee, or oweth {thee} ought, put that on mine account;
I, Paul, wrote this with my own hand; I’ll cover it: but I won’t even say how you owe me your own self too.
I Paul have written {it} with mine own hand, I will repay {it}: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.
Yeah, bro, let’s vibe in the Lord: refresh my heart in the Lord.
Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
I’m confident in your obedience, so I wrote this, knowing you’ll do even more than I’m asking.
Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.
Also, hook me up with a spot to crash: I trust your prayers will bring me to you.
But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.
Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends his shout-out;
There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;
Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellow hustlers.
Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus, a servant.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ {be} with your spirit. Amen. «{Written from Rome to Philemon, by Onesimus a servant.}»
