Numbers Chapter 12
So Miriam and Aaron were throwing shade at Moses because he linked up with this Ethiopian chick. Like, what’s the drama?
And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. {Ethiopian: or, Cushite} {married: Heb. taken}
They were like, "Did God really only vibe with Moses? What about us?" And God was totally listening.
And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard {it}.
Moses was super chill, like the most humble dude around, no cap.
(Now the man Moses {was} very meek, above all the men which {were} upon the face of the earth.)
God literally called out, "Yo, Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, come through to the tabernacle." And they bounced.
And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out.
God rolled up in a cloud and stood at the tabernacle entrance, summoning Aaron and Miriam, and they stepped forward.
And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood {in} the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth.
He said, "Listen up: If there’s a prophet in the mix, I’ll hit them up with visions and chat in their dreams."
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, {I} the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, {and} will speak unto him in a dream.
But Moses? Nah, he’s the real deal, totally loyal in my crib.
My servant Moses {is} not so, who {is} faithful in all mine house.
I’ll speak to him face to face, no shady stuff; he gets to see the Lord’s vibe. So why y’all not shook to throw shade at my dude Moses?
With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?
God was heated with them, and then He bounced.
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed.
The cloud pulled out from the tabernacle, and whoa, Miriam showed up leprous, all ghostly like snow. Aaron was straight shook looking at her.
And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam {became} leprous, {white} as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, {she was} leprous.
Aaron was like, "Moses, my dude, don’t put this on us for the mess we stirred up, we were trippin'."
And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned.
"Don’t let her be like a lifeless person, all jacked up when they come out the womb."
Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.
Moses hit up God, saying, "Heal her right now, please!"
And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee.
God replied to Moses, "If her dad spat in her face, wouldn’t she be embarrassed for a week? Let her chill outside the camp for seven days, then bring her back in."
And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in {again}.
So, Miriam was out of the camp for a week, and the squad didn’t bounce until she was back.
And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in {again}.
After that, they packed their bags and rolled out from Hazeroth to the wilderness of Paran.
And afterward the people removed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
