Matthew Chapter 11
So, Jesus wrapped up giving his crew the scoop and bounced to spread the word and vibe in their towns.
And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.
John, locked up in prison, peeped what Christ was up to and sent a couple of his boys.
Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,
He was like, "Yo, are you the one we’ve been waiting on, or should we keep it pushing?"
And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?
Jesus dropped them a line, saying, "Go tell John what you peep and hear, fam."
Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
Blind folks are getting their sight, the lame are rolling, the lepers are clean, the deaf are hearing, the dead are rising, and the poor are hearing the good news.
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed is anyone who ain’t stumbling over me.
And blessed is {he}, whosoever shall not be offended in me.
As they bounced, Jesus started chatting with the crowd about John, asking, "What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed blowing in the wind?"
And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
But for real, what were you expecting? A guy in designer threads? Those peeps are chilling in mansions.
But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft {clothing} are in kings' houses.
So, what were you out there for? A prophet? Bet, he’s more than that.
But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.
This is the dude they wrote about: "I’m sending my messenger ahead of you to prep your way."
For this is {he}, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
For real, no cap, John the Baptist is the GOAT, but even the least in heaven is vibing higher than him.
Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
Since John, the kingdom of heaven's been on the grind, and the hypebeasts are taking it by force.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. {suffereth...: or, is gotten by force, and they that thrust men}
All the prophets and the law were dropping gems until John showed up.
For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
If you catch the vibes, this is Elijah, the one everyone was waiting for.
And if ye will receive {it}, this is Elias, which was for to come.
If you got ears, tune in, fam.
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
How do I even put this generation into words? It’s like kids hanging in the market, calling out to their friends.
But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
They’re like, "We played you a banger, but you didn’t move; we brought the feels, but you didn’t shed a tear."
And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
John was out there not eating or drinking, and they were like, "Dude’s sus, he’s possessed."
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
The Son of Man came through munching and sipping, and they were like, "Yo, this guy's a foodie and chills with sinners." But wisdom’s got her crew.
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
Then He started calling out the towns where He did most of His dope work, 'cause they just wouldn’t vibe with Him.
Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not:
Yo, Chorazin and Bethsaida, you’re sus! If the wild things I did for you went down in Tyre and Sidon, they would’ve been like, “My bad,” in sackcloth and ashes, fr.
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
But for real, I’m telling you, Tyre and Sidon are gonna have an easier time on judgment day than you.
But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
And you, Capernaum, thinking you’re all that, gonna get dropped to hell: if the fresh works I did in you happened in Sodom, it would still be popping today.
And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.
For real, it’ll be easier for Sodom on judgment day than for you, periodt.
But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
At that moment, Jesus was like, “Thanks, Dad, Lord of heaven and earth, for keeping this wisdom from the know-it-alls and spilling the tea to the little ones.”
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
For real, Dad: this was fire in your eyes.
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.
Everything’s been given to me by my Father: no one knows the Son but the Father; and no one knows the Father except the Son and whoever the Son chooses to reveal him to, no cap.
All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and {he} to whomsoever the Son will reveal {him}.
Hit me up if you’re worn out and heavy laden, and I’ll set you up with some rest.
Come unto me, all {ye} that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my vibes upon you and learn from me; I’m chill and humble at heart: you’ll find peace for your souls, fr.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
My vibes are easy, and my load is light, no cap.
For my yoke {is} easy, and my burden is light.
