Luke Chapter 22
The unleavened bread feast was coming up, known as the Passover. Major vibes.
Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
The big shots and experts were scheming on how to take him down 'cause they were sus of the crowd.
And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
So Satan rolled into Judas, aka Iscariot, one of the twelve. Not cool, fam.
Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
He bounced and linked up with the chief priests and captains about how to set him up. Savage move.
And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.
They were stoked and struck a deal to give him some cash. Bussin'!
And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
He made a promise and was on the lookout for a chance to betray him when no one was peeping. No cap.
And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude. {in the...: or, without tumult}
Then the day of unleavened bread arrived, and it was time to slay the Passover lamb. Lit.
Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
He sent Peter and John, saying, "Go get the Passover ready so we can chow down together."
And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
They asked him, "Where do you want us to set it all up?"
And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
He said, "Once you hit the city, you’ll spot a dude carrying a pitcher of water; just follow him to the crib he goes into."
And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.
Yo, let the homie at the spot know, the Master’s like, “Where’s the place for the Passover meal with my crew?”
And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
He’ll show you a chill upper room all set up: get it ready, fam.
And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
They rolled out and found it just like he said: they prepped for the Passover, no cap.
And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
When the time came, he chilled with the twelve apostles, vibing together.
And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
He told them, “I’m so hyped to eat this Passover with you before I take the L.”
And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: {With desire...: or, I have heartily desired}
For real, I won’t eat again until it’s all lit in the kingdom of God.
For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
He grabbed the cup, gave thanks, and said, “Take this, and share it among yourselves, fam.”
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide {it} among yourselves:
For real, I won’t sip from the vine again until the kingdom of God shows up.
For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
He took the bread, gave thanks, broke it, and said, “This is my body given for you: do this in remembrance of me, fr.”
And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake {it}, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
Then he did the same with the cup after dinner, saying, “This cup is the new deal in my blood, spilled for you, periodt.”
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup {is} the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Yo, check it, the dude who’s about to betray me is right here chilling at the table.
But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me {is} with me on the table.
For real, the Son of Man is gonna dip, just like it was planned. But dang, that dude who betrays him is in for some bad vibes!
And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!
They started vibing and asking each other who’s gonna be the one to pull this move.
And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
Plus, they were lowkey arguing about who’s the GOAT among them.
And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.
He was like, "The kings of the non-Jews flex their power, and the ones in charge get called benefactors, no cap."
And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.
But y'all ain't about that life: the biggest flex should be like the youngest, and the top dog should serve, fr.
But ye {shall} not {be} so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.
Like, who’s more important, the one at the table or the one serving? It’s obviously the one sitting down, but I'm here serving, periodt.
For whether {is} greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? {is} not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
You guys have stuck with me through all my struggles, no lie.
Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.
And I’m handing you a kingdom, just like my Dad did for me;
And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;
So you can eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Yo, the Lord was like, "Simon, Simon, check this out, Satan's trying to vibe check you and sift you like wheat."
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired {to have} you, that he may sift {you} as wheat:
But I prayed for you, so your faith ain't gonna flop: when you bounce back, help your crew out.
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Peter was like, "Bet, I’m ready to roll with you, even if it means jail or death."
And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
Jesus was like, "No cap, Peter, the rooster ain't gonna crow today before you deny me three times."
And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
He asked them, "When I sent you out with no cash or bags, did you miss anything?" They replied, "Nah, we good."
And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
Then he said, "But now, if you got cash, take it, and if you don’t have a sword, sell your drip and get one."
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take {it}, and likewise {his} scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
For real, what’s written about me’s gotta go down, 'cause I’m counted with the rebels: my story’s gotta wrap up.
For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.
They said, "Lord, check it, we got two swords here." And he was like, "That’s enough, fam."
And they said, Lord, behold, here {are} two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
He dipped out to the Mount of Olives, and his squad followed him, no doubt.
And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
When he got there, he told them, "Pray so you don’t get caught up in temptation."
And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
He stepped away from them, like a stone’s throw, knelt down, and started praying, no cap.
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
He was like, "Father, if you’re cool with it, take this cup away from me; but fr, not my vibe, but yours, periodt."
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. {willing, remove: Gr. willing to remove}
Then an angel dropped in from heaven, giving him some support.
And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
He was in major struggle mode, praying harder, and his sweat was like drops of blood hitting the ground, savage.
And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
When he got up from praying and found his squad sleeping, they were all bummed out.
And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,
He said, "Why y’all sleeping? Wake up and pray, or you’ll get hit with temptation."
And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
While he was still talking, a whole crew showed up, and Judas, one of the twelve, was rolling up to Jesus to give him a kiss.
And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
Jesus looked at him and said, "Judas, you gonna betray the Son of Man with a kiss? That's mad sus."
But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
When the crew around him saw what was about to go down, they asked, "Lord, should we pop off with the sword?"
When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
One of them straight up hit the servant of the high priest and chopped off his right ear, no cap.
And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
And Jesus was like, "Chill for now," then he touched the dude’s ear and healed him, no cap.
And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
Then Jesus called out the chief priests and the temple squad, like, "Y’all rolling up on me like I’m a thief with all these weapons?"
Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?
When I was vibing with you in the temple, y’all didn’t lay a finger on me; but now it’s your time, and darkness is lit.
When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
So they took him, led him away, and brought him to the high priest’s crib. Peter was lowkey hanging back from a distance.
Then took they him, and led {him}, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
They started a fire in the hall, all chilling together, and Peter joined them, trying to blend in.
And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
Then a girl spotted him by the fire, looked hard at him, and said, "This dude was with him too."
But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
But he was like, "Nah fam, I don’t know him."
And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.
A little later, another person peeped him and said, "You’re one of them." Peter replied, "Bruh, I’m not."
And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.
About an hour later, someone else confidently stated, "For real, this guy was with him; he’s definitely a Galilean."
And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this {fellow} also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
And Peter was like, "Man, I don’t even know what you’re talking about." And right after he said that, the rooster crowed.
And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
Then the Lord turned and peeped at Peter. Peter was shook and remembered what Jesus said, "Before the rooster crows, you’re gonna deny me three times. No cap."
And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Peter dipped out and cried hard, like, it was rough.
And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
The dudes holding Jesus were straight roasting him and hitting him.
And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote {him}.
They blindfolded him, smacked him in the face, and were like, "Prophesy, who just hit you?"
And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
They were saying a ton of wild stuff against him, just straight-up blasphemy.
And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
When day hit, the elders, chief priests, and scribes gathered up and brought him to their council, saying,
And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,
"Are you the Christ? Spill the tea." He told them, "If I tell you, you won’t believe it, fr."
Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:
"And if I ask you, you won’t answer me or let me go, periodt."
And if I also ask {you}, ye will not answer me, nor let {me} go.
"From now on, the Son of Man is gonna sit at the right hand of God’s power."
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
"They all asked, "So you’re the Son of God?" He replied, "You said it, fam."
Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
"They were like, "What more do we need? We heard it straight from him, no cap."
And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
