Luke Chapter 17
He was like, "Offenses are coming, no cap, but keep an eye out for the ones stirring them up!"
Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe {unto him}, through whom they come!
For real, it’s way better for that person to have a massive stone tied around their neck and chucked into the ocean than to mess with one of these little ones, fr.
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
Keep it a hundred: If your homie slips up, call him out; but if he's sorry, you gotta let it go, periodt.
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
And if he flops seven times in a single day and says sorry seven times, still gotta forgive him, no cap.
And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
The apostles were like, "Yo Lord, level up our faith!"
And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
The Lord came back with, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could tell this tree to get pulled out and tossed into the sea, and it would totally listen, lit."
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
So, like, which one of you, having a servant grinding in the field, would just tell him to chill when he gets back?
But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
You’d actually say, "Whip up dinner for me, and then you can eat after I’m done," right?
And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
Does he thank that servant for just doing what he was asked? Nah, that’s kinda sus.
Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.
Same goes for you: after handling your business, just say, "We’re just doing our jobs, no flex."
So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.
So he was on his way to Jerusalem, cruising through Samaria and Galilee, no cap.
And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
He rolled into this village and spotted ten lepers just hanging out from a distance.
And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
They hollered, "Yo, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"
And they lifted up {their} voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
When he peeped them, he said, "Go show yourselves to the priests." As they headed out, they got healed, periodt.
And when he saw {them}, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
One of them peeped he was healed, turned back, and shouted praises to God, fr.
And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
He fell at Jesus' feet, thanking him, and guess what? He was a Samaritan.
And fell down on {his} face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
Jesus was like, "Didn’t I heal ten of y’all? Where are the other nine?"
And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where {are} the nine?
No one else came back to give props to God but this guy.
There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Jesus told him, "Get up, go your way: your faith made you whole."
And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
When the Pharisees asked him when the kingdom of God would show up, he dropped, "It’s not about what you see, fam."
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: {with...: or, with outward shew}
For real, don’t be like, "It’s over here!" or "It’s over there!" The kingdom of God is literally inside you.
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. {within you: or, among you}
He told the crew, "Soon you’ll wanna see a day with the Son of Man, but you won’t catch it."
And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see {it}.
They’ll be saying, "Look here!" or "Look there!" but don’t go chasing after them, fam.
And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after {them}, nor follow {them}.
Just like lightning zaps from one side of the sky to the other, that’s how the Son of Man is gonna show up on his day.
For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one {part} under heaven, shineth unto the other {part} under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
But first, he’s gotta go through some heavy struggles and be ghosted by this generation.
But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
Just like back in Noah’s time, it’s gonna be the same when the Son of Man rolls in.
And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
They were eating, drinking, getting hitched, vibing until Noah jumped in the ark, and then the flood came and took them all out.
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Same situation as in Lot’s days; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, and building.
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
But the day Lot bailed from Sodom, fire and brimstone rained down from heaven and wiped them all out.
But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed {them} all.
That’s how it’s gonna play out when the Son of Man is revealed, fr.
Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
On that day, if you're chilling up on the roof and your stuff's inside, don’t even think about going back. If you're in the field, just keep it moving, no cap.
In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Don’t forget about Lot’s wife, fam.
Remember Lot's wife.
Whoever tries to save their own life is gonna end up losing it; but if you let it go, you’ll be good.
Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
I’m telling you, that night, two dudes will be in one bed; one’s gonna get taken, and the other’s gonna be left behind.
I tell you, in that night there shall be two {men} in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
Two girls will be grinding together; one’s gonna get taken, and the other’s gonna stay.
Two {women} shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two guys will be in the field; one’s gonna get taken, and the other’s gonna be left.
Two {men} shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. {this verse is not found in most of the Greek copies}
They asked him, "Where, Lord?" And he responded, "Wherever the vibes are, that’s where the eagles will show up."
And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body {is}, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
