John Chapter 5
So after that, the Jews were in their feels; Jesus cruised over to Jerusalem.
After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
In Jerusalem, there’s this pool called Bethesda by the sheep market, with five cozy hangout spots.
Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep {market} a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. {market: or, gate}
A crew of people who were down bad were just chilling there, blind and everything, waiting for the water to get hyped.
In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
An angel would swoop in at the right moment and stir the water: first one to jump in after that got healed, no cap.
For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
There was this guy who’d been dealing with his situation for thirty-eight years, straight up wild.
And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
Jesus peeped him laying there, recognized he’d been there for a hot minute, and was like, "You down to get healed?"
When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time {in that case}, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
The guy said, "I got no squad to help me when the water gets lit; someone always sneaks in before me."
The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
Jesus said, "Stand up, take your bed, and roll out with it."
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
And just like that, the dude was healed, picked up his bed, and bounced—on the sabbath, fr.
And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
The Jews saw him and were like, "Yo, it’s the sabbath, you can’t be carrying your bed like that, fam."
The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry {thy} bed.
He replied, "The guy who healed me told me, 'Take your bed and bounce.'"
He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
So they asked, "Who’s this dude telling you to dip with your bed?"
Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
The healed guy didn’t even know who it was, 'cause Jesus just dipped with the crowd around.
And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in {that} place. {a multitude...: or, from the multitude that was}
Later on, Jesus found him at the temple and said, "Yo, you’re good now; don’t mess up again, or it could get wild."
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
The man bounced and told the Jews it was Jesus who made him whole.
The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
So the Jews were heated at Jesus and wanted to take him out, 'cause he was doing stuff on the sabbath.
And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
But Jesus said, "My Father’s been grinding, so I’m grinding too."
But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
That’s why the Jews were even more hyped to take him out, 'cause he was breaking the sabbath and calling God his Father, making himself equal with God.
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
Then Jesus dropped some knowledge, saying, "For real, the Son can’t do anything by himself; he just vibes with what the Father does."
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
The Father vibes with the Son and shows him all the lit things he does, and he’s gonna reveal even more epic stuff that’ll blow your mind.
For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
Just like how the Father brings the dead back to life, the Son does his thing too, no cap.
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth {them}; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
The Father ain’t judging anyone; He gave all that authority to the Son:
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
So everyone should show mad respect to the Son, just like they do for the Father. If you’re not vibing with the Son, you’re missing the vibe with the Father who sent him.
That all {men} should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
For real, I’m telling you, if you hear my words and believe in the one who sent me, you got eternal life, no judgment coming your way; you’ve moved from death to life.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
For real, I’m telling you, the time is coming, and it’s here now, when the dead will hear the Son of God’s voice, and those who hear are gonna live.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
Just like the Father has life in himself, He’s given the Son that same vibe, fr.
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
And He’s got the authority to judge too, 'cause He’s the Son of Man.
And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
Don’t be shook about this: the time is coming when everyone in the graves will hear His voice,
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
And they’ll bounce out; those who did good will rise to life, and those who did bad will face the music.
And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
I can’t do anything on my own; I just judge based on what I hear, and my judgment is on point; 'cause I’m not here for my own agenda, but for the will of the Father who sent me.
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
If I’m just vibing solo, that’s sus, fam.
If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
There’s someone else backing me up, and I know their testimony is fr true.
There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.
Y’all hit up John, and he kept it 100 about the truth.
Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth.
But I ain’t looking for clout from people; I’m saying this so you can be saved, no cap.
But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
He was a lit and shining light, and for a minute, y’all were down to vibe with his light.
He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
But I got a greater witness than John; the dope stuff my Father gave me to finish speaks for itself, proving I’m sent by Him.
But I have greater witness than {that} of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.
The Father who sent me has also backed me up. You haven’t heard His voice or seen His shape, periodt.
And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
And you don’t have His word chilling in you, 'cause you don’t believe in the one He sent.
And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
Search the scriptures; you think they hold eternal life, but they’re the ones testifying about me, fr.
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
And you won’t come to me to grab that life, that’s wild.
And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
I ain't trippin' for clout from people, fr.
I receive not honour from men.
But I see you, and you ain't got God's love vibing in you.
But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
I roll up in my Dad's name, and you ghost me; but if someone else shows up flexing, you totally vibe with them.
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
How you gonna believe if you're just hyping each other up and not chasing the honor that comes from God, no cap?
How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that {cometh} from God only?
Don't think I'm gonna snitch on you to the Father; Moses is the real one coming for you, and you trust him.
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is {one} that accuseth you, {even} Moses, in whom ye trust.
If you really believed Moses, you would’ve believed me too, 'cause he was writing about me, periodt.
For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
But if you ain't feeling his writings, how you gonna vibe with my words?
But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
