Joel Chapter 2
Sound the horn in Zion, and raise the alarm on my holy mountain: everyone better get ready, 'cause the day of the Lord is coming through hot; no cap.
Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for {it is} nigh at hand; {trumpet: or, cornet}
It’s a day packed with dark vibes and gloom, clouds heavy like fog, and a massive crew that’s never been witnessed before, fr.
A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, {even} to the years of many generations. {of many...: Heb. of generation and generation}
Fire’s devouring everything ahead; behind, it’s all flames: the land's popping like Eden, but behind them? Just an empty wasteland, nothing escapes, periodt.
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land {is} as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
They resemble horses getting hyped; and like riders, they’re about to go off.
The appearance of them {is} as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
They jump like chariots on mountain tops, making noise like a blaze consuming everything; a fierce squad ready for action, no cap.
Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
The people are feeling the heat; all faces turning dark, sus vibes.
Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. {blackness: Heb. pot}
They’re sprinting like beasts; scaling walls like warriors; each one on their grind, and they won’t mess with their flow.
They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
No one's gonna crash into each other; they’re walking their own lane: when they hit the sword, they won’t even flinch.
Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and {when} they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. {sword: or, dart}
They’re racing around the city; climbing walls, scaling houses; slipping in through windows like straight-up thieves.
They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
The earth’s about to shake for them; the heavens are gonna vibe check: the sun and moon are going dark, and the stars will stop shining, fr.
The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
The Lord’s voice is like, “Listen up, my crew is huge and I’m legit when I say things. The day of the Lord is wild, who can even handle that vibe?”
And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp {is} very great: for {he is} strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD {is} great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
So now, the Lord’s like, “Turn to me with your whole heart, fast, shout it out, and mourn a little, fr.”
Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye {even} to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
Rip your heart, not your clothes, and reach out to the Lord your God, 'cause He’s super chill, really kind, takes his time getting mad, and is all about mercy, no cap.
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he {is} gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
Who knows if He’ll change His mind and drop some blessings, like food and drinks for the Lord your God?
Who knoweth {if} he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; {even} a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God?
Sound that trumpet in Zion, set the vibe for fasting, and bring everyone together for a serious hangout.
Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
Gather the squad, hype up the congregation, get the elders in, include the kids, and even the babies; let the bridegroom step outta his room and the bride outta her spot.
Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Let the priests, the Lord's hype squad, cry out between the porch and the altar, saying, “Chill, Lord, don’t let your people get roasted; outsiders shouldn’t be flexing on them. Why should they say, ‘Where’s their God?’”
Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where {is} their God? {rule over: or, use a byword against}
Then the Lord’s gonna protect His land and show love for His people.
Then will the LORD be jealous for his land, and pity his people.
For real, the Lord will respond to His people, “I got you with corn, wine, and oil, you’ll be totally satisfied, and I won’t let you get dissed by the outsiders anymore.”
Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen:
But I’ll send the northern army far away from you, pushing them to a barren wasteland, facing the east sea, with their back to the other sea, and their stench will rise up, 'cause they’ve done some serious things.
But I will remove far off from you the northern {army}, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things. {hath...: Heb. hath magnified to do}
No cap, land, chill and vibe; the Lord's about to do some epic things.
Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. {will...: Heb. hath magnified to do}
Don’t be sus, animals of the field; the wild is thriving with growth, fruits are coming in hot, like fig trees and vines flexing their strength.
Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
Get hyped, kids of Zion, and celebrate your God; He’s already blessed you with rain, and more is on the way, fr.
Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first {month}. {the former rain moderately: or, a teacher of righteousness} {moderately: Heb. according to righteousness}
The fields are gonna be stacked with wheat, and the vibes will overflow with wine and oil; it's lit.
And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.
I’m bringing back all the good times the locusts snatched; my squad that I sent is about to restore everything.
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
You’ll be feasting and feeling blessed, praising the Lord for the wild things He’s done; my crew won’t ever be embarrassed.
And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
You’ll know I’m right here with Israel, the Lord your God, and nobody else; my people will always be on top.
And ye shall know that I {am} in the midst of Israel, and {that} I {am} the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
Later on, I’m gonna drop my spirit on everyone; your sons and daughters will prophesy, old heads will dream, and young guns will see visions.
And it shall come to pass afterward, {that} I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
And I’ll also pour out my spirit on the squad and the ladies during those days.
And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
I’ll show off some incredible wonders in the sky and on Earth, blood, fire, and smoke vibes, it’s gonna be wild.
And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
The sun's gonna go dark, and the moon's gonna look like blood, right before that epic day of the Lord hits.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
And for real, anyone who calls on the Lord's name will be saved: Zion and Jerusalem are the go-to spots for that, just like the Lord said, and He’s got a crew He’s calling.
And it shall come to pass, {that} whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
