Job Chapter 5
Hit up now if anyone's down to chill; which saint you trying to connect with?
Call now, if there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn? {turn: or, look?}
Anger is a savage executioner for the clueless, and jealousy just wipes out the foolish ones, no cap.
For wrath killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one. {envy: or, indignation}
I peeped these dudes trying to level up, but I was like, "Nah fam," and cursed their grind.
I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
Their kids ain’t safe at all, getting crushed at the entrance, while no one's there to pull them out, fr.
His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, neither {is there} any to deliver {them}.
The starving are out here snatching their crops, even from the thorns, with the thief just taking their stash, periodt.
Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.
Suffering doesn't just pop up from the dirt, and trouble ain't just sprouting from the soil;
Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; {affliction: or, iniquity}
But for real, people are born into struggle, just like sparks flying upward.
Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. {trouble: or, labour} {sparks...: Heb. the sons of the burning coal lift up to fly}
I’d reach out to God, and for sure, I’d lay my case before Him.
I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
He does wild things that can’t be comprehended; astonishing acts that are off the charts.
Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number: {unsearchable: Heb. there is no search} {without...: Heb. till there be no number}
He sends rain to the land and gives water to the fields, that’s straight bussin'.
Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields: {fields: Heb. outplaces}
God lifts up the lowkey ones, so those who are down get to vibe in safety.
To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
He totally shuts down the schemes of the sneaky, so their hands can’t even do their thing.
He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform {their} enterprise. {their enterprise: or, any thing}
He traps the wise in their own games, and the shady squad gets wrecked.
He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
They be wandering in the daylight, feeling around like it's midnight.
They meet with darkness in the daytime, and grope in the noonday as in the night. {meet...: or, run into}
But he’s got the poor’s back from the sword, from their words, and from the strong ones.
But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
So the poor got hope, and wrongdoing can't even come back at them.
So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
For real, blessed is the dude whom God calls out: so don’t sleep on the discipline from the Almighty.
Behold, happy {is} the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
He breaks you down, but then lifts you up: he brings pain, but his hands make you whole again.
For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
He'll rescue you from six struggles: for real, even in seven, no bad vibes can touch you.
He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee.
In hunger, he’ll save you from death; and in battle, he’ll keep you safe from the sword's grip.
In famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the power of the sword. {power: Heb. hands}
You’re gonna be low-key shielded from all the haters’ talk: no need to sweat when chaos rolls in.
Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction when it cometh. {from...: or, when the tongue scourgeth}
When destruction and hunger hit, you’ll just laugh: no cap, you won’t even flinch at wild beasts.
At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.
You’ll vibe with the stones in the fields, and the animals will be chill around you.
For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field: and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee.
You’ll know your crib is all good; you can stroll through and not mess it up.
And thou shalt know that thy tabernacle {shall be} in peace; and thou shalt visit thy habitation, and shalt not sin. {thy tabernacle...: or, peace is thy tabernacle} {sin: or, err}
You’ll see your fam is gonna be huge, like grass just flourishing everywhere.
Thou shalt know also that thy seed {shall be} great, and thine offspring as the grass of the earth. {great: or, much}
You’ll slide into your grave when you’re old and wise, like corn coming in when it's the right time.
Thou shalt come to {thy} grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season. {cometh in: Heb. ascendeth}
For real, we’ve seen this, and it’s facts; pay attention and know it’s for your own benefit.
Lo this, we have searched it, so it {is}; hear it, and know thou {it} for thy good. {for...: Heb. for thyself}
