Job Chapter 11
So Zophar the Naamathite came through and was like,
Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
Aren't you gonna respond to all this noise? Like, can a dude who's just talking actually be right?
Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified? {full...: Heb. of lips}
Are your fibs gonna keep folks silent? When you throw shade, will nobody check you?
Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed? {lies: or, devices}
You claimed your beliefs are tight, and you're all clear in God's view.
For thou hast said, My doctrine {is} pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
But just picture if God actually spoke up and put you on blast!
But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
He’d drop some crazy wisdom, showing you that you ain’t even close to what you think you deserve, fr.
And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that {they are} double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee {less} than thine iniquity {deserveth}.
Can you even hunt down God while searching? Can you reach the Almighty and totally grasp what’s up?
Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
It’s as high as the heavens; what are you gonna do? Deeper than the grave; what do you even know?
{It is} as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? {as high...: Heb. the heights of heaven}
Its length goes beyond the earth and its width is wider than the sea, no cap.
The measure thereof {is} longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
If He decides to cut you loose or gather everything, who’s gonna stop Him?
If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him? {cut...: or, make a change} {hinder...: Heb. turn him away?}
He sees through all the phonies; He notices the bad vibes too; you think He won’t think about it?
For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider {it}?
A fake dude thinks he's clever, but for real, we all start off wild like a baby donkey.
For vain man would be wise, though man be born {like} a wild ass's colt. {vain: Heb. empty}
If you get your heart straight and reach out to Him,
If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
If you're holding onto sin, toss it far away, and don’t let negativity chill in your space.
If iniquity {be} in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
Then you’ll be able to keep your head up, no flaws on you; you’ll be solid and fearless.
For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
You’ll forget your hardships, remembering them like water that just slips away, periodt.
Because thou shalt forget {thy} misery, {and} remember {it} as waters {that} pass away:
Your vibe will be clearer than noon; you’ll shine like the morning sun.
And {thine} age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning. {be clearer...: Heb. arise above}
You’ll feel secure because there’s hope; you’ll vibe out and chill without stress.
And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig {about thee, and} thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
You’ll take it easy, and no one will spook you; a bunch of folks will come to you.
Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make {thee} afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee. {make suit...: Heb. intreat thy face}
But the wicked will be left behind, and they won’t escape; their hope will vanish like a ghost.
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope {shall be as} the giving up of the ghost. {they shall...: Heb. flight shall perish from them} {the giving...: or, a puff of breath}
