Isaiah Chapter 43
Ayo, God was like, “Yo, Jacob and Israel, chill out. I got your back, I redeemed you, you belong to me, fr.”
But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called {thee} by thy name; thou {art} mine.
When you’re splashing through the waves, I’m right there with you; rivers won’t drown you, and fire? Nah, you won’t feel a thing, periodt.
When thou passest through the waters, I {will be} with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
I’m your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior: I swapped Egypt for you, and I got Ethiopia and Seba on standby.
For I {am} the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt {for} thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
You’re super valuable to me, and I totally vibe with you; I’ll swap people for you, no cap.
Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. {life: or, person}
Don’t trip, I’m rolling with you: I’ll bring your crew from the east and scoop you up from the west.
Fear not: for I {am} with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
I’ll tell the north to release and the south to chill: bring my sons from afar and my daughters from everywhere.
I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;
All who are called by my name are fire; I crafted them for my glory, shaped them, and they’re the real MVPs.
{Even} every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Bring the blind who can see and the deaf who can hear, let’s roll.
Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
All the nations need to gather up, and let’s see who can drop the facts; bring your evidence so we can settle this.
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, {It is} truth.
You’re my witnesses, says the Lord, and my chosen one: know me, believe me, and understand I’m the one and only, no other gods are in the picture.
Ye {are} my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I {am} he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. {no...: or, nothing formed of God}
Ayo, it’s me, the Lord; no cap, there’s no one else who can save you.
I, {even} I, {am} the LORD; and beside me {there is} no saviour.
I’ve flexed my strength, saved you, and showed up when no other gods were around: you’re my squad, says the Lord, 'cause I’m the real deal.
I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when {there was} no strange {god} among you: therefore ye {are} my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I {am} God.
For real, before the day even kicked off, I was here; no one can snatch you from my hold: I’ll make moves, and who can stop that?
Yea, before the day {was} I {am} he; and {there is} none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? {let it: Heb. turn it back?}
The Lord, your savior, the Holy One of Israel, says: I sent to Babylon and took down their big shots and the Chaldeans, who are crying out on the boats.
Thus saith the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry {is} in the ships. {nobles: Heb. bars}
I’m the Lord, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King—solid vibes.
I {am} the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.
The Lord says, I’m carving a path in the sea and a way through the wild waters;
Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;
I’m bringing out the chariots and horses, the whole squad; they’ll chill together and won’t rise again: they’re done, snuffed out like a candle.
Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
Don’t dwell on the past, forget the old stuff, fam.
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Listen up, I’m about to do something brand new; it’s gonna pop off; you gonna witness it? I’ll carve a way in the wild and rivers in the dry spots.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, {and} rivers in the desert.
The wild animals will vibe with me, even the dragons and owls: I’m providing water in the wild and rivers in the desert to rejuvenate my people, my chosen ones.
The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, {and} rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. {owls: or, ostriches: Heb. daughters of the owl}
This crew I made for myself; they’re gonna flex my praise, fr.
This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
But you haven’t reached out, Jacob; you’ve been lowkey over me, Israel.
But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.
You didn’t bring me the small goats for your burnt offerings; you haven’t shown me love with your sacrifices. I didn’t make you serve me with offerings, nor stress you with incense.
Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. {small...: Heb. lambs, or, kids}
You didn’t buy me any sweet cane with cash, nor did you fill me up with the good stuff from your sacrifices: but you made me serve with your wrongs, you’ve drained me with your sins.
Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. {filled...: Heb. made me drunk, or, abundantly moistened}
I, for real, am the one who wipes away your mess-ups for my own sake, and I won’t even recall your sins.
I, {even} I, {am} he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
Remind me: let’s vibe together; you say your piece, and then you’ll be straight.
Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
Your OG dad messed up, and your teachers have gone against me.
Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me. {teachers: Heb. interpreters}
So I’ve dissed the leaders of the sanctuary, and I’ve handed Jacob the curse, and Israel the shade.
Therefore I have profaned the princes of the sanctuary, and have given Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches. {princes...: or, holy princes}
