Isaiah Chapter 32
Ayy, a king's gonna drop some serious righteousness, and the princes are gonna judge like total pros.
Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
So a dude will be like a chill zone from the wind, a safe haven from the storm; imagine rivers in the desert or a big boulder’s shade in a weary land.
And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land. {great: Heb. heavy}
For real, the eyes of those who see won’t get dim, and the ears of those who hear are gonna be locked in.
And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.
Even the reckless will pick up some wisdom, and those who trip over their words will be ready to drop truth bombs.
The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly. {rash: Heb. hasty} {plainly: or, elegantly}
No cap, we’re done calling the sketchy folks generous, or the stingy ones ballers.
The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said {to be} bountiful.
'Cause the shady peeps will just be about that villain life, scheming evil, staying fake, and messing with the hungry and thirsty.
For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
The churl's game plan is hella sus: they spin lies to drag down the poor, even when the needy are dropping straight facts.
The instruments also of the churl {are} evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. {the needy...: or, he speaketh against the poor in judgment}
But the generous are all about solid vibes; they’ll stay strong with their good work.
But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand. {stand: or, be established}
Ayo, wake up, you chill ladies; listen up, you reckless daughters; hear what I gotta say.
Rise up, ye women that are at ease; hear my voice, ye careless daughters; give ear unto my speech.
You careless girls are about to hit a rough patch, 'cause the harvest is gonna flop, and the gathering ain’t coming.
Many days and years shall ye be troubled, ye careless women: for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come. {Many...: Heb. Days above a year}
Get shook, you chill women; worry up, you careless ones: strip down, get real, and throw on sackcloth.
Tremble, ye women that are at ease; be troubled, ye careless ones: strip you, and make you bare, and gird {sackcloth} upon {your} loins.
They’ll mourn over the milk, the nice fields, and the fruitful vines.
They shall lament for the teats, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine. {pleasant...: Heb. fields of desire}
Thorns and briars are gonna pop off in my people's land; yeah, all the happy homes in the joyful city are gonna feel it.
Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns {and} briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy {in} the joyous city: {yea...: or, burning upon}
'Cause the palaces will be ghosted; the city's crowd will be left hanging; the forts and towers will turn into dens forever, hangouts for wild asses and a flock's pasture.
Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks; {forts...: or, clifts and watchtowers}
Until the spirit is blasted out on us from above, and the wilderness becomes a lit field, and the fruitful field is seen as a forest.
Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.
Then judgment will chill in the wilderness, and righteousness will vibe in the fruitful field.
Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
And the work of righteousness will bring peace; and the outcome of that righteousness will be mad chill and assurance forever.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
And my people will vibe in a peaceful zone, in secure homes, and in quiet chill spots;
And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;
When it hails down on the forest; and the city will be low-key in a dip.
When it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place. {low in...: or, utterly abased}
Blessed are those who sow by all waters, sending out the feet of the ox and the donkey.
Blessed {are} ye that sow beside all waters, that send forth {thither} the feet of the ox and the ass.
