Isaiah Chapter 20
In the year when Tartan rolled through Ashdod, Sargon, the king of Assyria, dispatched him to smash it.
In the year that Tartan came unto Ashdod, (when Sargon the king of Assyria sent him,) and fought against Ashdod, and took it;
At that moment, the Lord slid into Isaiah, son of Amoz, saying, "Yo, toss that sackcloth and lose the kicks." So he was out here, strolling around completely naked and barefoot, no cap.
At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot. {by: Heb. by the hand of}
Then the Lord was like, "Just like my guy Isaiah has been strutting around naked and barefoot for three years, that’s a whole sign for Egypt and Ethiopia, fr."
And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years {for} a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;
So, the king of Assyria is gonna drag the Egyptians off as captives, and the Ethiopians too, young and old, all bare and exposed, making Egypt look super sus.
So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with {their} buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt. {the Egyptians...: Heb. the captivity of Egypt} {shame: Heb. nakedness}
They gonna be mad shook and embarrassed about Ethiopia being their hope, and Egypt being their glory.
And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
And the folks on this island will be saying that day, "Peep our hopes, where we turn for help to escape the grip of the king of Assyria: how we gonna bounce?"
And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such {is} our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape? {isle: or, country}
