Hebrews Chapter 4
We gotta be on point and watch ourselves, 'cause there's a promise of vibing in his rest, and missing out is a big no-go, fr.
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left {us} of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
The good news was shared with us just like it was with them, but it didn’t resonate for them 'cause they were lacking that faith energy.
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard {it}. {the word...: Gr. the word of hearing} {not being...: or, because they were not united by faith to}
Those of us who believe are chilling in that rest, just as God said, "I’m not here for the drama, if they’re not feeling it, they ain’t resting," even though the grind was finished ages ago.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
God mentioned the seventh day, saying, "I’m clocking out from all this work, fam."
For he spake in a certain place of the seventh {day} on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
And again, it’s all about stepping into that relaxation vibe.
And in this {place} again, If they shall enter into my rest.
So it's dope that some have to jump in, but those who heard the word first didn’t make it in 'cause they were acting sus with their faith.
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: {it was: or, the gospel was}
He’s giving us a heads up about a specific day, like David said, "Today, if you catch His voice, don’t be stubborn."
Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
If Jesus had offered them that chill space, He wouldn’t be chatting about another day later.
For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. {Jesus: that is, Joshua}
There’s still a rest reserved for the people of God, no doubt.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. {rest: or, keeping of a sabbath}
Whoever steps into that rest is finished with their grind, just like God took a breather.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God {did} from his.
Let’s hustle to enter that rest so nobody sinks into doubt like others did.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. {unbelief: or, disobedience}
The word of God is alive and strong, sharper than any blade, slicing through our souls and spirits, exposing our inner thoughts and feelings.
For the word of God {is} quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and {is} a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Nothing is hidden from His view; everything is laid bare before Him, no cap.
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things {are} naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
Since we got a lit high priest who’s in the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s cling to our faith tightly.
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast {our} profession.
We don’t have a high priest who can’t relate to our struggles; He’s been through it all and stayed flawless, and that’s next level.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as {we are, yet} without sin.
So let’s approach the throne of grace with boldness, so we can grab mercy and find grace when it’s needed.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
