Habakkuk Chapter 3
So Habakkuk the prophet dropped this prayer, saying, "This is the whole vibe."

Yo Lord, I peeped your words and got shook: revive your work, no cap, show some mercy in this madness.
O LORD, I have heard thy speech, {and} was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. {speech: Heb. report, or, hearing} {revive: or, preserve alive}
God literally rolled up from Teman, the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory lit up the skies, and the earth was vibin' with praise.
God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise. {Teman: or, the south}
His brightness was like pure light; rizz was coming from his hands, flexing mad power.
And {his} brightness was as the light; he had horns {coming} out of his hand: and there {was} the hiding of his power. {horns...: or, bright beams out of his side}
Before him, pestilence was rolling through, and there were burning coals low-key on fire at his feet.
Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet. {coals: or, diseases}
He stood tall, measuring the earth: nations were shook, mountains got scattered, hills were bowed down; his ways are forever.
He stood, and measured the earth: he beheld, and drove asunder the nations; and the everlasting mountains were scattered, the perpetual hills did bow: his ways {are} everlasting.
I peeped the tents of Cushan struggling; the curtains of Midian were literally trembling.

Your bow was out there showing off, making oaths with the tribes. Selah. You split the earth with rivers.

The mountains saw you and freaked out: the waters overflowed, and the deep was like, raising its hands high.
The mountains saw thee, {and} they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, {and} lifted up his hands on high.
The sun and moon were like, "Chill," standing still; your arrows made them move, your spear was shining.
The sun {and} moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, {and} at the shining of thy glittering spear. {at the light...: or, thine arrows walked in the light}
You marched through the land, mad as heck, threshing the nations with that righteous anger.
Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
You came through for your peeps, bringing salvation with your anointed one; you took out the wicked, periodt.
Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, {even} for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah. {by...: Heb. making naked}
You knocked down the heads of their villages; they came at me like a whirlwind, trying to devour the poor, savage.
Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing {was} as to devour the poor secretly. {came...: Heb. were tempestuous}
You walked through the sea on your horses, through those massive waves, no cap.
Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses, {through} the heap of great waters. {heap: or, mud}
When I heard all this, my stomach dropped; my lips were shaking at the sound, rottenness hit my bones, and I was low-key trembling, just trying to find peace in tough times.
When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops. {invade...: or, cut them in pieces}
Even if the fig tree doesn’t bloom and the vines are a no-show, even if the olive fails and the fields go empty, no flock in sight, it’s all good.
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither {shall} fruit {be} in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and {there shall be} no herd in the stalls: {fail: Heb. lie}
Still, I’m gonna rejoice in the Lord, vibing in the God of my salvation.
Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength; he’ll give my feet that goated agility, making me walk on high places. For the chief singer on my stringed instruments.
