Exodus Chapter 19
During the third month, the crew dipped from Egypt and rolled into the Sinai wilderness on the same day. Vibes.
In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they {into} the wilderness of Sinai.
They bounced from Rephidim, hit up the desert of Sinai, and set up camp; Israel was just chilling at the mountain.
For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come {to} the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
So Moses hiked up to God, and the Lord hit him up from the mountain, saying, "Tell Jacob’s crew this."
And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
Check it, you’ve witnessed how I took care of the Egyptians and lifted you like eagles; I brought you close, no cap.
Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and {how} I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
So, if you vibe with my voice and keep my covenant, you'll be my special treasure above everyone else: the whole earth is mine.
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth {is} mine:
You’ll be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words you gotta share with Israel.
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These {are} the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Moses gathered the elders of the people and laid down all the words the Lord gave him.
And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
The entire squad replied, saying, "We’ll do everything the Lord said." Moses took those vibes back to God.
And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.
The Lord told Moses, "I’m rolling up to you in a thick cloud, so the people can hear me and trust you forever." Moses shared the people’s response with the Lord.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD.
God literally said to Moses, "Go tell the people to get ready today and tomorrow, and let them wash their drip."
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them to day and to morrow, and let them wash their clothes,
Be prepared by the third day: the Lord will pull up for everyone at Mount Sinai.
And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
Set boundaries around the people, saying, "Don’t go up the mountain or touch it; anyone who does will get wrecked."
And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, {that ye} go {not} up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:
No one can touch it, or they’ll be stoned or shot; whether beast or dude, they won’t survive. When the trumpet blasts long, they can come up.
There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether {it be} beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. {trumpet: or, cornet}
Moses bounced down from the mountain to the people and made them holy; they washed their threads.
And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
He told everyone, "Get ready for the third day; don’t mess around with your wives."
And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at {your} wives.
On the morning of the third day, there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain; the trumpet was crazy loud, making everyone in the camp shake.
And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that {was} in the camp trembled.
Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.
And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
Mount Sinai was lit with smoke because the Lord showed up in fire; the smoke went up like a furnace, and the whole mountain was shaking hard.
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the LORD descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
When the trumpet sounded long and got louder, Moses spoke, and God replied with a voice.
And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, called Moses to the top, and Moses went up.
And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses {up} to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.
God literally told Moses, "Go down, warn the people not to break through to see the Lord, or many will be lost."
And the LORD said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto the LORD to gaze, and many of them perish. {charge: Heb. contest}
And the priests who get close to the Lord need to keep it holy, or the Lord will come at them.
And let the priests also, which come near to the LORD, sanctify themselves, lest the LORD break forth upon them.
Moses said to the Lord, "The people can’t come up to Mount Sinai; you told us to set boundaries and keep it holy."
And Moses said unto the LORD, The people cannot come up to mount Sinai: for thou chargedst us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.
The Lord replied, "Go down, bring Aaron with you, but don’t let the priests and people break through to see the Lord, or He’ll come at them."
And the LORD said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the LORD, lest he break forth upon them.
So Moses went down to the people and spilled the tea on what’s up.
So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
