Ephesians Chapter 2
You were completely dead in your screw-ups, but God literally brought you back to life, no cap.
And you {hath he quickened}, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Back in the day, you were just vibin' with the world and the ruler of the sky, livin' that disobedient life.
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
We were all just loungin' in our fleshly desires, chasing whatever felt good, and honestly, we were just like everyone else, wildin'.
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. {desires: Gr. wills}
But God, who’s seriously loaded with mercy, showed us major love for real.
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were totally lost in our sins, He revived us with Christ; grace had our backs, periodt.
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) {by...: or, by whose grace}
He raised us up and placed us in heavenly vibes alongside Christ Jesus.
And hath raised {us} up together, and made {us} sit together in heavenly {places} in Christ Jesus:
So that in the future, He could showcase His insane grace and kindness towards us through Christ.
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in {his} kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For real, it’s all about grace saving you through faith; it ain't your work, it’s purely a gift from God.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: {it is} the gift of God:
Ain't about your grind, so no one can flex about it.
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
We are His masterpiece, crafted in Christ for solid deeds that He had in mind for us, no doubt.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. {ordained: or, prepared}
So remember, you used to be outsiders, called the Uncircumcision by the Circumcision squad, just a whole vibe.
Wherefore remember, that ye {being} in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
Back then, you were without Christ, strangers to Israel’s fam, foreign to the promises, no hope, and no God in the world.
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
But now, in Christ Jesus, you who were once far away have been brought near by His blood, that’s lit.
But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
He’s our peace, uniting us and breaking down the barriers between us, savage move.
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition {between us};
He removed the hate in His body, flipping the script on the law so we could vibe together as one new crew, bringing peace.
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, {even} the law of commandments {contained} in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, {so} making peace;
He’s bridging the gap between us and God in one body through the cross, squashing the beef for good.
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: {thereby: or, in himself}
He came and spread the peace to those far away and those nearby, just sharing the good vibes.
And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
Through Him, we both have access by one Spirit to the Father, no cap.
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
So now you’re not strangers anymore, but part of the squad with the saints and God’s fam.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
You’re built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus as the ultimate cornerstone, for real.
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner {stone};
In Him, the entire structure is fitting together and growing into a holy temple for the Lord, it’s a whole vibe.
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
In Him, you’re also being assembled for a spot where God can chill through the Spirit.
In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
