Deuteronomy Chapter 5
Moses pulled all the crew together and was like, "Yo, Israel, pay attention to the rules and vibes I'm about to lay down today, so you can catch 'em and live by 'em."
And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. {keep...: Heb. keep to do them}
The Lord our God made a lit promise with us at Horeb.
The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
This promise wasn’t just for our forefathers; it’s for us, all of us gathered here today, no cap.
The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, {even} us, who {are} all of us here alive this day.
God literally went and spoke to you face to face on that mountain, straight outta the fire, no joke.
The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
(I was in between you and the Lord at that time, relaying His message, 'cause you were shook from the fire and didn’t want to climb that mountain;) saying,
(I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
I’m the Lord your God who took you outta Egypt, from that land of struggle.
I {am} the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. {bondage: Heb. servants}
You ain't gonna have other gods before me, end of story.
Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
Don't be crafting idols or copies of anything up above, down below, or in the deep, that’s super sus.
Thou shalt not make thee {any} graven image, {or} any likeness {of any thing} that {is} in heaven above, or that {is} in the earth beneath, or that {is} in the waters beneath the earth:
Don't bow down or serve those things, 'cause I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, checking the vibes of the parents on the kids up to the third and fourth generation of those who don’t vibe with me, fr.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God {am} a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth {generation} of them that hate me,
But I vibe with thousands who love me and keep my commandments; that's straight fire.
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
Don’t throw around the Lord’s name like it’s just a joke, 'cause He’s serious, no cap.
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold {him} guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Keep the Sabbath day chill and make it special, just like God instructed, fr.
Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
Grind for six days and get that hustle on, you feel me?
Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
But on the seventh day, it’s all about kicking back, no work allowed, periodt.
But the seventh day {is} the sabbath of the LORD thy God: {in it} thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that {is} within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
Remember you were a servant in Egypt, and God flexed His strength to pull you out; that’s why you gotta keep the Sabbath, no cap.
And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and {that} the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
Show respect to your parents like God told you; it’ll make your life way better in the land He’s giving you, vibes.
Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
No killing, that's just savage.
Thou shalt not kill.
Don't cheat, keep it real.
Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
No stealing, that’s mad sus.
Neither shalt thou steal.
Don’t be lying about your neighbor, that’s just whack.
Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Don't be stressing over your neighbor's girl, house, or anything they got. Just relax, fam.
Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any {thing} that {is} thy neighbour's.
God dropped some serious wisdom on y’all at the mountain, like a straight-up epic convo, and wrote it on stone.
These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.
When you peeped that deep voice from the dark (the mountain was lit with fire), you all came to me, heads of your tribes and elders.
And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, {even} all the heads of your tribes, and your elders;
You were like, "Yo, our God just flexed His glory and greatness, and we heard Him speaking from the fire. This proves God talks to humans and is still alive."
And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.
So, why are we tryna catch wreck? This fire's gonna toast us. If God speaks to us again, we might just be finished.
Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us: if we hear the voice of the LORD our God any more, then we shall die. {hear: Heb. add to hear}
For real, who else has heard the living God talk from the fire and not been ghosted?
For who {is there of} all flesh, that hath heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we {have}, and lived?
You go close and catch all the deets from God, then let us know what He says; we’re ready to listen and follow.
Go thou near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak thou unto us all that the LORD our God shall speak unto thee; and we will hear {it}, and do {it}.
God caught your words when you spoke to me, and He was like, "I heard everything this crew said, and they kept it real."
And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken.
I wish they had hearts that genuinely feared me and followed my rules for solid vibes for them and their kids forever!
O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do {them} in the land which I give them to possess it.
So, keep it 100 and do what the Lord your God says: no swerving to the left or right, periodt.
Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
Just walk in all the ways the Lord your God laid out for you, and you’ll be vibin', living your best life, extending your days in the land you’re about to claim.
Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and {that it may be} well with you, and {that} ye may prolong {your} days in the land which ye shall possess.
