Deuteronomy Chapter 23
If you got injured down there or lost your stuff, you can't roll with the fam at the Lord's crib.
He that is wounded in the stones, or hath his privy member cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
If you're born outta wedlock, you can't vibe with the Lord's crew; not even for ten generations, for real.
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
Ammonites and Moabites can't roll with the Lord's squad; even their tenth generation is straight-up outta luck, no cap.
An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:
They didn’t show you any kindness with food or drink when you bounced from Egypt, and they hired Balaam to throw mad shade at you.
Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.
But the Lord was like nah with Balaam; instead, He turned that curse into a blessing 'cause He’s got mad love for you.
Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.
Don't even think about going after their peace or good vibes, like, ever.
Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever. {prosperity: Heb. good}
Don’t throw shade at the Edomites; they’re your peeps. And don’t trip on Egyptians either, 'cause you were once a stranger in their turf.
Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he {is} thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
The kids born from them can roll with the Lord's crew in their third generation, no cap.
The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.
When the crew goes to fight your enemies, steer clear of anything sus.
When the host goeth forth against thine enemies, then keep thee from every wicked thing.
If any dude in your crew is unclean 'cause of nighttime issues, he gotta bounce from the camp, no exceptions.
If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of the camp, he shall not come within the camp:
But when evening rolls around, he should get cleaned up and come back to the camp, periodt.
But it shall be, when evening cometh on, he shall wash {himself} with water: and when the sun is down, he shall come into the camp {again}. {cometh...: Heb. turneth toward}
You need a chill spot outside the camp where you can go handle your business.
Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:
And keep a shovel with your gear; when nature calls, dig a hole and cover it up, fam.
And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee: {wilt...: Heb. sittest down}
The Lord rolls through your camp to save you and deal with your enemies, so keep it holy; don’t let Him peep anything dirty.
For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee. {unclean...: Heb. nakedness of any thing}
Don’t send a runaway servant back to their master; that’s just cold.
Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:
Let them chill with you, wherever they vibe best in your gates; don’t oppress them, for real.
He shall dwell with thee, {even} among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him. {liketh...: Heb. is good for him}
No ho's among the daughters of Israel, and no dudes acting sus among the sons, that's a hard pass.
There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. {whore: or, sodomitess}
Don’t bring the pay of a ho or the price of a dog into the Lord's crib for any promises; both are a major no-no to the Lord.
Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these {are} abomination unto the LORD thy God.
Don’t charge your bro interest on loans, whether it's cash, food, or whatever; that’s just messed up.
Thou shalt not lend upon usury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:
You can charge strangers interest, but not your bro; that way, the Lord can bless all your hustle in the land you’re claiming.
Unto a stranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not lend upon usury: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
When you make a pledge to the Lord, don’t sleep on paying it back; He’s gonna expect it, and ignoring that is straight-up sin.
When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
But if you decide not to make a promise, that’s chill, no sin in that.
But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
Keep it 100 on what you say; even if it’s a freewill offering, do what you promised the Lord with your mouth.
That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; {even} a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.
When you roll up to your neighbor’s vineyard, eat all the grapes you want, but don’t take any with you, fam.
When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put {any} in thy vessel.
When you’re in your neighbor’s cornfield, you can grab some with your hands, but don’t whip out a sickle on it.
When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.
