Deuteronomy Chapter 2
So we rolled out and hit the vibes near the Red Sea, just as the Lord said, circling Mount Seir for a minute.
Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.
Then the Lord was like,
And the LORD spake unto me, saying,
You've been around this mountain long enough; it’s time to head north, no cap.
Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.
Tell the squad, "You’re gonna cruise through your fam, the kids of Esau chillin' in Seir; they gonna be shook, so keep it real."
And command thou the people, saying, Ye {are} to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
Don’t mess with them; I ain’t giving you even a foot of their turf, 'cause I handed Mount Seir to Esau, periodt.
Meddle not with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as a foot breadth; because I have given mount Seir unto Esau {for} a possession. {no...: Heb. even to the treading of the sole of the foot}
You can scoop food from them for cash, so you can eat; and you can also grab water from them for cash, so you can drink, fr.
Ye shall buy meat of them for money, that ye may eat; and ye shall also buy water of them for money, that ye may drink.
The Lord your God has blessed your hustle: He knows you’ve been grinding through this wild for forty years; you ain’t missed a beat, no cap.
For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God {hath been} with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.
When we cruised past our fam, the kids of Esau in Seir, through the flat from Elath and Ezion-gaber, we switched it up and went through the wild vibes of Moab.
And when we passed by from our brethren the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, through the way of the plain from Elath, and from Eziongaber, we turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.
And the Lord told me, "Don’t worry about the Moabites, don’t throw down with them; I ain’t giving you their land for keeps, 'cause I gave Ar to the kids of Lot for a spot."
And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land {for} a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot {for} a possession. {Distress...: or, Use no hostility against Moab}
Back in the day, the Emims were living there, a big crew, super tall, just like the Anakims;
The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;
They were like big chillers, the Anakims; but the Moabites called them Emims, no cap.
Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.
The Horims used to vibe in Seir, but then Esau's fam took over after they got wrecked, just like Israel did with their land, periodt.
The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them. {succeeded: Heb. inherited} {stead: or, room}
I was like, "Let’s rise up, fam, and cross the brook Zered," and we bounced over it, fr.
Now rise up, {said I}, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered. {brook: or, valley}
We moved from Kadesh-barnea to the brook Zered, and it took a solid thirty-eight years; all the warriors got taken out, just as the Lord said, savage.
And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, {was} thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them. {brook: or, valley}
For real, the Lord's hand was against them, ensuring they got wrecked until there was nobody left.
For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
So it went down that all the warriors were completely gone and dead from the people, no cap.
So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
Then the Lord hit me up, saying,
That the LORD spake unto me, saying,
"You gotta pass through Ar, the Moab coast, today."
Thou art to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
And as you get near the Ammonites, don’t stress them or get involved; I ain't giving you their land, 'cause I handed it to Lot's fam instead, bet.
And {when} thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon {any} possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot {for} a possession.
(That place was also known for giants: giants were lurking there back in the day, and the Ammonites called them Zamzummims, fr.)
(That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; {Zamzummims: also called, Zuzims}
A crew super tall, like the Anakims; but the Lord was like, "Nah," and wiped them out, so they took over and chilled there instead.
A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
Just like what He did to Esau’s fam in Seir when He wrecked the Horims; they took over and settled there, still vibin' today.
As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
The Avims in Hazerim got wrecked by the Caphtorims from Caphtor, and they moved in and took over.
And the Avims which dwelt in Hazerim, {even} unto Azzah, the Caphtorims, which came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.)
Yo, rise up, make your move, and cross the river Arnon: I’ve got Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, on lock, so go claim his land and pop off in battle.
Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess {it}, and contend with him in battle. {begin...: Heb. begin, possess}
Today, I’m about to make all the nations under the sky feel your vibes and fear you when they hear about you, and they’ll be shook and stressed.
This day will I begin to put the dread of thee and the fear of thee upon the nations {that are} under the whole heaven, who shall hear report of thee, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of thee.
I sent some peeps from the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon, king of Heshbon, with a chill message, saying,
And I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth unto Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,
Let me cruise through your land: I’ll stick to the main road, no detours left or right.
Let me pass through thy land: I will go along by the high way, I will neither turn unto the right hand nor to the left.
You gotta sell me food for cash so I can eat, and give me water for cash so I can drink: I’m just trying to pass through.
Thou shalt sell me meat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only I will pass through on my feet;
Just like Esau’s crew in Seir and the Moabites in Ar did for me; until I cross the Jordan into the land the Lord our God is giving us.
(As the children of Esau which dwell in Seir, and the Moabites which dwell in Ar, did unto me;) until I shall pass over Jordan into the land which the LORD our God giveth us.
But Sihon, king of Heshbon, was like, "Nah fam," 'cause the Lord hardened his vibe and made him stubborn, so he’d end up in your hands, like it’s clear today.
But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him: for the LORD thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into thy hand, as {appeareth} this day.
Yo, God was like, "Check it, I’m handing you Sihon and his whole territory. Go ahead and claim it, it's yours now."
And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land.
Then Sihon rolled up on us with his crew, ready to throw down at Jahaz.
Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
But our God totally had our backs, so we took him out, along with his fam and all his peeps.
And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
We wiped out all his cities, no cap, left no one standing, not the dudes, the ladies, or the kiddos.
And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain: {the men...: Heb. every city of men, and women, and little ones}
We only snagged the cattle and all the loot from the cities we conquered.
Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.
From Aroer by the river of Arnon to Gilead, no city could hang with us; God gave us the win.
From Aroer, which {is} by the brink of the river of Arnon, and {from} the city that {is} by the river, even unto Gilead, there was not one city too strong for us: the LORD our God delivered all unto us:
But we didn’t mess with the kids of Ammon, the Jabbok river, or any of the mountain towns that God told us to skip.
Only unto the land of the children of Ammon thou camest not, {nor} unto any place of the river Jabbok, nor unto the cities in the mountains, nor unto whatsoever the LORD our God forbad us.
