Acts Chapter 4
While they were vibing with the crowd, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees pulled up on them,
And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, {captain: or, ruler}
They were kinda heated about them teaching the people and going on about Jesus’ resurrection.
Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
So they snatched them up and tossed them in jail until the next day because it was getting late.
And they laid hands on them, and put {them} in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
But a whole lot of people who heard the message were like, "I’m in!" and the crew was around five thousand deep.
Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
The following day, all their leaders, elders, and scribes rolled in,
And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
Including Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and all their fam related to the high priest, gathered in the city.
And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
They stood them in the spotlight and asked, "By what power or name did you pull this off?"
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, was like, "Yo, rulers of the people and elders of Israel,
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
If we’re being questioned today about the solid deed done to the guy who couldn’t walk, how he’s now all good;
If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
Let it be known to all of you and everyone in Israel, that it’s through the name of Jesus Christ from Nazareth, whom you nailed to the cross and God brought back to life, that this dude stands here whole."
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, {even} by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
This is the stone you builders completely passed on, but now it’s the GOAT of the corner.
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
For real, salvation ain’t coming from anywhere else; there’s no other name under heaven that can save us.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
When they checked out the vibe of Peter and John, they were shook; these dudes were uneducated, but they knew they had been with Jesus.
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
And when they spotted the healed dude chilling with them, they were like, “We got nothing to say.”
And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
So they told them to step outside from the council and started discussing amongst themselves.
But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
They were like, “What do we do with these dudes? A total miracle just happened, and everyone in Jerusalem knows it; we can’t deny it.”
Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them {is} manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny {it}.
But to keep it from blowing up more, they decided to throw some heavy threats, telling them to quit talking about this name.
But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
They called them back in and straight up said not to speak or teach at all in Jesus’ name.
And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
But Peter and John responded, “Yo, is it right to listen to you instead of God? You decide.”
But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
We can’t help but spill the tea on what we’ve seen and heard.
For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
After they threw some shade, they let them go, finding no way to roast them, 'cause everyone was vibing with God for what went down.
So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all {men} glorified God for that which was done.
The dude was over forty, and this healing miracle was straight legendary.
For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.
When they got out, they linked up with their crew and shared everything the chief priests and elders had said.
And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
When they heard that, they all prayed together, saying, "Yo, Lord, you’re the GOAT who made heaven, earth, and the sea, and everything in 'em."
And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou {art} God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
You spoke through your boy David, saying, "Why are the haters trippin' and dreaming up sus stuff?"
Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
The kings of the earth were ready to pop off, and the rulers teamed up against the Lord and His Christ.
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
For real, against your holy child Jesus, whom you blessed, Herod, Pontius Pilate, the Gentiles, and the people of Israel all came together.
For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
To do whatever your plan and purpose set out to happen.
For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
Now, Lord, check their threats: and give your squad the rizz to speak your word boldly,
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
By stretching out your hand to heal, and let signs and wonders happen in the name of your holy child Jesus.
By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
They prayed up, and the whole place shook; everyone was filled with the Holy Ghost and started spitting the word of God with mad boldness.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
The crew that believed was like one heart, one vibe; nobody acted like it was just theirs, everything was shared, no cap.
And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any {of them} that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
The apostles were out here flexing their rizz, witnessing the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and they were all just vibing with great grace.
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
No one was struggling; all the peeps with land or houses sold them and brought the cash, keeping it real.
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
They laid the cash at the apostles' feet, and everyone got what they needed, periodt.
And laid {them} down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
Joses, who the apostles called Barnabas (which means "son of consolation"), was a Levite from Cyprus, just chilling.
And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, {and} of the country of Cyprus,
He sold his property, brought the dough, and laid it down at the apostles’ feet, keeping it 100.
Having land, sold {it}, and brought the money, and laid {it} at the apostles' feet.
