Acts Chapter 2
Once Pentecost rolled around, everyone was chilling together in one place.
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
All of a sudden, a dope sound from heaven like a crazy wind rushed in and filled the whole spot where they were hanging.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
They peeped these fire-like tongues that split and landed on each person, no cap.
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
All of them got filled with the Holy Spirit and started spitting different languages, as the Spirit gave them the vibes.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Jews lived in Jerusalem, devout peeps from every nation under the sun, fr.
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.
When this word spread, the crowd gathered, all perplexed because they heard them chatting in their own languages, periodt.
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. {was...: Gr. voice was made confounded: or, troubled in mind}
They were totally shook and amazed, asking one another, "Aren't all these speakers from Galilee?"
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
And how are we catching them in our own languages right from the start?
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
Parthians, Medes, Elamites, and peeps from Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus, and Asia were all in the mix.
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
Phrygia, Pamphylia, Egypt, parts of Libya close to Cyrene, and even some Romans, Jews, and fresh converts were all there.
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,
Cretes and Arabians, we hear them vibing in our languages about God’s amazing works.
Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
Everyone was shook and kinda confused, asking one another, "What’s going on?"
And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
Some haters were like, "These dudes are just lit off that fresh wine."
Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
But Peter, standing up with the crew, raised his voice and was like, "Ayo, people of Judea and everyone in Jerusalem, listen and feel my words!"
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all {ye} that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
They ain't lit, no cap; it’s only the third hour of the day.
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is {but} the third hour of the day.
This is what the prophet Joel was talking about;
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
In the last days, God said, "I’ll pour out my Spirit on everyone: your sons and daughters will prophesy, young men will have visions, and old men will dream epic dreams."
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
I’ll pour out my Spirit on my servants and handmaidens in those days; they’ll be prophesying for real.
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
I’m gonna show wonders in the sky and signs on the ground; blood, fire, and smoke vibes.
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
The sun's gonna go dark, and the moon will look like blood before that epic day of the Lord comes.
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
If you call on the Lord's name, you're truly saved, no cap.
And it shall come to pass, {that} whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Yo, Israel fam, listen up; Jesus from Nazareth is the real deal, backed by God with mad miracles and vibes, and you know it.
Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
He was handed over by God's plan, and y'all went savage and crucified him.
Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
But God brought him back to life, smashing the chains of death—like, it was impossible for death to hold him down, fr.
Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
David dropped some knowledge about him, saying he always had the Lord right there, keeping him steady.
For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
That’s why my heart's vibing and my mouth's lit; my body’s gonna chill in hope.
Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
You won’t leave my soul in the abyss, and your Holy One won't see decay, periodt.
Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
You showed me the path to life; your presence fills me with joy, no doubt.
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
Yo, fam, let me spill the tea about David; he’s dead and buried, and his tomb is still with us.
Men {and} brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. {let me: or, I may}
Since he was a prophet and knew God promised him, he said that from his lineage, God would raise Christ to take the throne.
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
He saw this coming and was all about the resurrection of Christ, like his soul wasn’t left in the bad place, and his body didn’t decay, no cap.
He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
God raised up this Jesus, and we’re all witnesses to that lit moment.
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
So, being all elevated at God’s right hand, He got the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father and dropped this vibe that y’all see and hear now.
Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
David didn’t vibe up to heaven, but he said, “The Lord told my Lord, chill at my right hand.”
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
Until I make your haters your footstool, periodt.
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
So let everyone in Israel know for real, that God made this same Jesus, whom y’all crucified, both Lord and Christ, straight up.
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
When they caught wind of this, their hearts were shook, and they asked Peter and the crew, “Ayo, what we gotta do?”
Now when they heard {this}, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men {and} brethren, what shall we do?
Peter was like, “Repent and get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for your sins to be wiped clean, and you’ll get the Holy Spirit gift.”
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The promise is for you, your kids, and everyone far away, like as many as the Lord our God calls, fr.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, {even} as many as the Lord our God shall call.
And with a bunch of other words, he was hyping them up, saying, “Save yourselves from this whack generation.”
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
So, like, the people who vibed with his message got baptized, and that same day, around three thousand peeps joined the crew.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added {unto them} about three thousand souls.
They were all about that apostle life, sticking together, breaking bread, and praying like it was their daily grind.
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Total awe hit everyone, and the apostles were out here doing mad wonders and signs, no cap.
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
Everyone who believed was tight, sharing everything like it was one big fam.
And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
They sold their stuff and shared the goods, making sure everyone had what they needed, periodt.
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all {men}, as every man had need.
Daily, they rolled up in the temple, breaking bread from crib to crib, munching with joy and pure hearts.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, {from...: or, at home}
They were praising God and had mad favor with the people, and the Lord was adding to the squad daily, bringing in those who needed saving.
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
