1 Peter Chapter 1
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, is connecting with the crew spread out across Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,
Picked by God the Father, through the Spirit’s glow-up, to be on that obedient grind and sprinkled with Jesus’ blood: Grace and peace, stacked up, fam.
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
Shoutout to God and our Father, who, with major mercy, blessed us with a new hope through Jesus coming back to life, fr.
Blessed {be} the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, {abundant: Gr. much}
We’ve got an inheritance that’s totally unbreakable, flawless, and won’t fade, stashed in heaven just for you.
To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, {for you: or, for us}
You’re being kept safe by God’s power through faith, all set to explode with salvation when the moment hits.
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
You’re totally vibing, even though things are a bit tough right now with all these trials, but it’s just part of the grind.
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
The struggle of your faith is way more valuable than gold that fades; when it’s tested by fire, it’ll shine bright at Jesus’ return.
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
Even though you haven’t peeped Him, you still love Him; and even if you can’t see Him now, your faith makes you hype with joy that’s off the charts.
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see {him} not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
You’re scoring the ultimate reward of your faith, which is the salvation of your souls.
Receiving the end of your faith, {even} the salvation of {your} souls.
The prophets were all about this salvation, digging deep and searching for the grace that’s coming your way.
Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace {that should come} unto you:
They were trying to decode what time the Spirit of Christ in them was hinting at, mentioning Christ’s sufferings and the glory that would follow.
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
They found out it wasn’t meant for them, but for us, and now we’re getting the good news from those who preached it with the Holy Ghost sent from heaven; even the angels are curious about this.
Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
So, get your mindset right, stay sober, and hope all the way for the grace headed your way when Jesus shows up.
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; {to the end: Gr. perfectly}
Be like obedient kids, not just following your old desires from back in the day.
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But just like the one who called you is holy, you gotta keep it holy in everything you do, no cap.
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
It’s written: 'Be holy, for I am holy.'
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
And if you call on the Father, who doesn’t judge based on status, just know to keep it real while you’re here.
And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning {here} in fear:
You know you weren’t bought with trash like silver and gold from your old ways handed down from your fam.
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, {as} silver and gold, from your vain conversation {received} by tradition from your fathers;
But with the priceless blood of Christ, like a perfect lamb with no flaws.
But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
He was definitely picked before the world was made, but showed up in these last days just for you.
Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,
Through Him, you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so your faith and hope are all in God.
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
Since you’ve cleaned up your souls by following the truth through the Spirit, love each other for real, with a pure heart.
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, {see that ye} love one another with a pure heart fervently:
You’re born again, not from stuff that fades, but from the word of God, which lives forever.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
All flesh is like grass, and all the glory of humans is like flowers; grass withers and flowers fall.
For all flesh {is} as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: {For: or, For that}
But the word of the Lord lasts forever, and this is the word that’s being preached to you through the gospel.
But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
