Zechariah Chapter 3
So he peeped Joshua the high priest just chilling in front of the angel of the Lord, and Satan was lurking there too, trying to throw some shade.
And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. {Satan: that is, an adversary} {to...: Heb. to be his adversary}
The Lord hit up Satan, saying, "You’re done, Satan; even the Lord who chose Jerusalem is telling you to chill out: is this not a brand snatched straight from the flames?"
And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: {is} not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
Joshua was looking real sus in those grimy threads, just standing there in front of the angel.
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
The angel was like, "Yo, ditch those dirty fits." Then he said to Joshua, "No cap, I’ve cleansed your sins, and I’m about to hook you up with some fresh gear."
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
I was like, "Let’s throw a fresh crown on his dome." So they placed a new crown on him and got him all styled up. The angel of the Lord was right there, no joke.
And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
The angel of the Lord was dropping knowledge on Joshua, saying,
And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,
"The Lord of hosts is dropping this truth: If you vibe with my way and keep my flow, you’ll be judging my house and managing my courts, and I’ll give you some spots to flex among these peeps standing here."
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by. {charge: or, ordinance} {places...: Heb. walks}
Yo, Joshua the high priest, and all your crew hanging with you: they’re some dope dudes; check it out, I’m sending my servant the BRANCH.
Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they {are} men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. {wondered...: Heb. of wonder, or, sign}
Peep the stone I laid for Joshua; it’s got seven eyes on it: I’m about to engrave it, says the Lord of hosts, and I’ll wipe out the sins of that land in just one day.
For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone {shall be} seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
On that day, says the Lord of hosts, every dude will vibe with his neighbor under the vine and under the fig tree.
In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
