Psalms Chapter 94
Ayo, God, the ultimate one who’s all about that revenge; show up and flex on ‘em.
O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. {God...: Heb. God of revenges} {shew...: Heb. shine forth}
Step up, Judge of the earth: serve some justice to the cocky, fr.
Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
God, how long are the wicked gonna be thriving? This is mad sus.
LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
For real, how long will they keep talking smack? All this negativity is wild.
{How long} shall they utter {and} speak hard things? {and} all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
They’re wrecking your people, God, and messing with your squad.
They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.
They’re taking out the widows and the outsiders, and straight-up hurting the orphans.
They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
And they’re out here saying, “God ain’t watching,” but that’s so wrong.
Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard {it}.
Get it together, you clueless folks: when will you level up?
Understand, ye brutish among the people: and {ye} fools, when will ye be wise?
The one who made ears, you think He can’t hear? The one who crafted eyes, you think He can’t see?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
The one who disciplines the nations, you think He won’t set it right? He’s got the smarts, no cap.
He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, {shall not he know}?
The Lord knows what’s going on in our heads, and it’s just empty vibes.
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they {are} vanity.
Blessed is the homie you correct, God, and teach from your ways; that’s lit.
Blessed {is} the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
So you can give him peace from tough times, until the wicked get their payback.
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
For real, the Lord won’t ditch His people or forget His gang.
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.
But justice is gonna return to what’s right: all the real ones will vibe with it.
But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it. {shall follow...: Heb. shall be after it}
Who’s stepping in for me against the bad dudes? Who’s got my back against the sus?
Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? {or} who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
If the Lord wasn’t my ride or die, I’d be lost in silence, fr.
Unless the LORD {had been} my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence. {almost: or, quickly}
When I said, “I’m slipping,” your grace, God, kept me grounded.
When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
In all my thoughts, your comforts are totally vibing with my spirit.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.
Can the throne of evil chill with you, making up laws for the chaos?
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
They’re teaming up against the righteous and calling out the innocent; that’s savage.
They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
But the Lord is my shield; my God is my solid foundation.
But the LORD is my defence; and my God {is} the rock of my refuge.
He’ll send their bad vibes back to them and cut them off; our God’s handling this.
And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; {yea}, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
