Psalms Chapter 129
They've been lowkey coming at me since the jump, and Israel can totally vouch for that.
[A Song of degrees.] Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say: {Many...: or, Much}
No cap, they've been trying to take me out since my early days, but they haven't succeeded.
Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me. {Many...: or, Much}
They basically plowed my back like a field, leaving some serious marks.
The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.
Yo, the Lord's got crazy vibes; He broke the wicked’s chains like it was easy.
The LORD {is} righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
All the haters of Zion need to chill and turn it around, for real.
Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
Let them be like grass on rooftops, withering before they even get a chance to grow, fr.
Let them be as the grass {upon} the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:
The mower ain't even got a handful, and the sheaf binder's got nada.
Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.
No one walking by is saying, 'Blessings from the Lord,' or 'We bless you in His name.'
Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD {be} upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
