Psalms Chapter 124
Without the Lord riding with us, Israel would be chatting some crazy nonsense;
[A Song of degrees of David.] If {it had not been} the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;
For real though, if the Lord wasn't backing us when folks tried to throw shade:
If {it had not been} the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:
They would’ve definitely devoured us fast when they were heated:
Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:
The waters would've totally swallowed us, like, those waves were hyped to claim us:
Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
Those wild waters were primed to crash over us, no doubt.
Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
Big ups to the Lord, who didn’t let us turn into their snack!
Blessed {be} the LORD, who hath not given us {as} a prey to their teeth.
Our souls dipped out like a bird breaking free from a snare: the snare’s busted, we’re lit, no cap.
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
Our support is in the name of the Lord, who crafted the entire cosmos, periodt.
Our help {is} in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
