Psalms Chapter 120
In my moments of stress, I call on the Lord, and He totally listens to me.
[A Song of degrees.] In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
Rescue my spirit, Lord, from those shady vibes and sus talk.
Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, {and} from a deceitful tongue.
What's gonna go down with you, though? What’s your deal, fake tongue?
What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? {What shall be given...: or, What shall the deceitful tongue give unto thee? or, what shall it profit thee?} {done: Heb. added}
Piercing arrows from the strong, accompanied by some fiery coals.
Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper. {Sharp...: or, It is as the sharp arrows of the mighty man, with coals of juniper}
Honestly, I'm battling in Mesech, chillin' in Kedar’s tents, fr.
Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, {that} I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
My soul's been hanging with those who despise peace, no cap.
My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
I’m all about spreading peace, but whenever I speak, they just wanna start something.
I {am for} peace: but when I speak, they {are} for war. {for peace: or, a man of peace}
