Joshua Chapter 21
So the top dogs of the Levite fams came through to Eleazar the priest, Joshua, son of Nun, and the big shots from the Israel tribes; vibes were high.
Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
They said, “Yo, back at Shiloh in Canaan, God told Moses to set us up with cities to kick it in, plus some spots for our cattle.”
And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
The Israelites dropped some of their inheritance for the Levites, exactly as the Lord instructed, handing over these cities and the surrounding lands.
And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs.
The lot landed for the Kohath fams: Aaron's squad, who are Levites, scored thirteen cities from Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin; that’s fire.
And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, {which were} of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
The other Kohath fams grabbed ten cities from Ephraim, Dan, and half of Manasseh; no cap.
And the rest of the children of Kohath {had} by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
The Gershon fams got thirteen cities from Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and half of Manasseh in Bashan; that's lit.
And the children of Gershon {had} by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
The Merari fams rolled out with twelve cities from Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun; solid distribution.
The children of Merari by their families {had} out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
These cities and their suburbs were given to the Levites by lot, just like God told Moses; periodt.
And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
They dished out cities from Judah and Simeon, the ones specifically named; straight facts.
And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are {here} mentioned by name, {mentioned: Heb. called}
The children of Aaron, from the Kohath crew, who are Levites, got the first pick; it’s a whole vibe.
Which the children of Aaron, {being} of the families of the Kohathites, {who were} of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot.
They set them up with the city of Arba, which is Hebron, in the hills of Judah, with solid vibes around it.
And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which {city is} Hebron, in the hill {country} of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it. {the city...: or, Kirjatharba}
But the fields of the city and the villages? They gave those to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, for his chill zone.
But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
So they blessed Aaron's offspring, the priest, with Hebron and its vibes, making it a safe haven for the slayer; also Libnah and its suburbs.
Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, {to be} a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs,
And Jattir with its vibes, and Eshtemoa with its vibes,
And Jattir with her suburbs, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs,
And Holon with its vibes, and Debir with its vibes,
And Holon with her suburbs, and Debir with her suburbs, {Holon: also called, Hilen}
And Ain with its vibes, and Juttah with its vibes, plus Beth-shemesh and its vibes; nine cities from those two tribes.
And Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, {and} Bethshemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes. {Ain: also called, Ashan}
From the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its vibes, Geba with its vibes,
And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs, {Geba: also called, Gaba}
Anathoth with its vibes, and Almon with its vibes; that's four cities in total.
Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities. {Almon: also called, Alemeth}
All the cities of Aaron's kids, the priests, added up to thirteen cities with their vibes.
All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, {were} thirteen cities with their suburbs.
And the fams of Kohath's kids, the Levites still hanging around, got cities from their lot in Ephraim.
And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
They hooked them up with Shechem and its vibes in mount Ephraim, a total safe haven for the slayer; also Gezer and its suburbs, no cap.
For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount Ephraim, {to be} a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs,
And Kibzaim with its suburbs, and Beth-horon with its suburbs; that’s four cities, lit.
And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs; four cities.
From the tribe of Dan, they handed over Eltekeh and its suburbs, Gibbethon and its suburbs, fr.
And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbs, Gibbethon with her suburbs,
Aijalon with its suburbs, Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; that’s four cities, pop off.
Aijalon with her suburbs, Gathrimmon with her suburbs; four cities.
From the half-tribe of Manasseh, they blessed Tanach with its suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; just two cities, periodt.
And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs; two cities.
All the cities added up to ten with their suburbs for the Kohath fams that stuck around, bussin'.
All the cities {were} ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.
And to the kids of Gershon, from the Levite fams, they gave Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, a chill zone for the slayer; plus Beesh-terah with its suburbs; that’s two cities, no cap.
And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the {other} half tribe of Manasseh {they gave} Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, {to be} a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beeshterah with her suburbs; two cities.
From the tribe of Issachar, they delivered Kishon with its suburbs, Dabareh with its suburbs, vibes.
And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with her suburbs, Dabareh with her suburbs,
Jarmuth with its suburbs, En-gannim with its suburbs; that’s four cities, lit.
Jarmuth with her suburbs, Engannim with her suburbs; four cities.
From the tribe of Asher, they gave Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs, fr.
And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs,
Helkath and her vibes, Rehob and her vibes; four cities, no cap.
Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs; four cities.
From Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, a chill haven for the slayer; Hammoth-dor and Kartan with their vibes; three cities, periodt.
And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, {to be} a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammothdor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities.
All the cities of the Gershonites were thirteen cities with their suburbs, straight up.
All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families {were} thirteen cities with their suburbs.
For the fams of Merari, the remaining Levites from Zebulun, Jokneam and Kartah with their vibes, lit.
And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs,
Dimnah and Nahalal with their suburbs; four cities, fr.
Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities.
From Reuben, Bezer and Jahazah with their vibes, bet.
And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Jahazah with her suburbs,
Kedemoth and Mephaath with their suburbs; four cities, no cap.
Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities.
From Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, a refuge for the slayer; Mahanaim with her vibes, savage.
And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, {to be} a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs,
Heshbon and Jazer with their vibes; four cities in total, pop off.
Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities in all.
So all the cities for Merari's kids, by their fams, were twelve cities left from the Levites, no cap.
So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were {by} their lot twelve cities.
All the cities for the Levites in Israel totaled 48 cities with their chill spots, fr.
All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel {were} forty and eight cities with their suburbs.
Each city had its own vibe with suburbs around it; that’s what it was.
These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus {were} all these cities.
The Lord hooked Israel up with all the land He promised their fam; they moved in and made it home.
And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
The Lord gave them peace all around, just as He promised their ancestors; no enemy could take them down, all their foes were served up.
And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
Nothing the Lord said to the house of Israel went unfulfilled; everything popped off.
There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
