Job Chapter 37
Honestly, my heart's low-key shook, like it's totally out of sync.
At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
Peep the noise when he speaks; his words hit different.
Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound {that} goeth out of his mouth. {Hear...: Heb. Hear in hearing}
He spreads it all across the skies, and his lightning hits like crazy.
He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth. {lightning: Heb. light} {ends: Heb. wings}
So then a voice pops off: he thunders with mad rizz; he never chills when he drops that sound.
After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
God drops thunder like a boss; he does wild stuff we can’t even comprehend.
God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
He’s like, 'Snow, you chill on the ground,' and both light and heavy rain just show up, no cap.
For he saith to the snow, Be thou {on} the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. {likewise...: Heb. and to the shower of rain, and to the showers of rain of his strength}
He puts the clamps on everyone’s hands; so all know his work is straight-up legendary.
He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
Then the animals bounce to their dens and just vibe there.
Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
A whirlwind rolls in from the south, and cold vibes come together from the north.
Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north. {south: Heb. chamber} {north: Heb. scattering winds}
Thanks to God’s breath, frost happens; water gets all tight.
By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
He makes those thick clouds weary from watering; he scatters his bright clouds like a savage.
Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud: {his...: Heb. the cloud of his light}
Everything's flipped around by his plans: they follow whatever he commands in this realm.
And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
He brings it all, whether it’s for discipline, for the land, or just to show mercy.
He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy. {correction: Heb. a rod}
Listen up, Job: take a moment and think about the wild things God does.
Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
Do you know when God set all that up and made the light shine from his clouds?
Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
Do you know how the clouds balance out, the dope moves of him who’s perfect in knowledge?
Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
How are your clothes warm when he calms the earth with that south wind?
How thy garments {are} warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south {wind}?
Did you assist in spreading out the sky, which is solid like a dope mirror?
Hast thou with him spread out the sky, {which is} strong, {and} as a molten looking glass?
Teach us what to say to him; we can’t even speak right ’cause it’s dark.
Teach us what we shall say unto him; {for} we cannot order {our speech} by reason of darkness.
Should I hit him up that I’m talking? If someone speaks, they might just get swallowed whole.
Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
And now folks can’t even see the bright light in the clouds: the wind blows and clears it out.
And now {men} see not the bright light which {is} in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
Good vibes roll in from the north: God’s majesty is straight-up wild.
Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God {is} terrible majesty. {Fair...: Heb. Gold}
About the Almighty, we can't grasp him: he’s lit in power, judgment, and justice; he won’t play with you.
{Touching} the Almighty, we cannot find him out: {he is} excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
So people fear him; he’s not worried about those who think they’re wise.
Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any {that are} wise of heart.
