Job Chapter 24
So why are those who vibe with the Almighty not feeling his days? Like, for real?
Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
Some be shifting the borders, snatching flocks like it’s no big deal, just living off that.
{Some} remove the landmarks; they violently take away flocks, and feed {thereof}. {feed...: or, feed them}
They be kicking the fatherless' donkey to the side and straight-up grabbing the widow’s ox for a fast loan.
They drive away the ass of the fatherless, they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
They literally push the needy aside; the poor be hiding together, no cap.
They turn the needy out of the way: the poor of the earth hide themselves together.
Wild donkeys in the desert be chilling, grinding for food; the wilderness hooks them and their young ones up.
Behold, {as} wild asses in the desert, go they forth to their work; rising betimes for a prey: the wilderness {yieldeth} food for them {and} for {their} children.
They out here harvesting their corn in the fields, gathering the crop of the wicked, no cap.
They reap {every one} his corn in the field: and they gather the vintage of the wicked. {corn: Heb. mingled corn, or, dredge} {they gather...: Heb. the wicked gather the vintage}
They leave the naked out, no drip, freezing in the cold.
They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that {they have} no covering in the cold.
Soaking from mountain rains, they cling to rocks for some shelter, sus.
They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
They take the fatherless from their moms and rob the poor, that’s straight savage.
They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.
They throw him out naked, no clothes, and steal food from the hungry, fr.
They cause {him} to go naked without clothing, and they take away the sheaf {from} the hungry;
They be making oil at home and crushing grapes in their winepresses, but still thirsty.
{Which} make oil within their walls, {and} tread {their} winepresses, and suffer thirst.
Guys be groaning from the city, and the wounded be crying out; yet God ain’t tripping.
Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly {to them}.
They are the rebels against the light; they don’t know the vibes or walk the paths.
They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.
The murderer, rising with the light, takes out the poor and needy, just like a thief sneaking in the night.
The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.
The eyes of the cheater wait for dusk, thinking, “No one's gonna peep me,” and put on a mask.
The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth {his} face. {disguiseth...: Heb. setteth his face in secret}
In the dark, they break into houses they peeped during the day; they don’t know about the light.
In the dark they dig through houses, {which} they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light.
For them, morning is like the shadow of death; if you peep them, it’s all terror vibes.
For the morning {is} to them even as the shadow of death: if {one} know {them, they are in} the terrors of the shadow of death.
He moves as quick as water; their fate is cursed on earth; he don’t notice the vineyard vibes.
He {is} swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards.
Drought and heat are eating away the snow waters; the grave does the same to those who sin, fr.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters: {so doth} the grave {those which} have sinned. {consume: Heb. violently take}
The womb will forget him; worms will feast on him; he won’t be remembered; wickedness will snap like a tree.
The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree.
He treats the barren badly and shows no love for the widow, that’s just messed up.
He evil entreateth the barren {that} beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow.
He drags the strong with his power; he rises up, and life is a mystery, periodt.
He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no {man} is sure of life. {no...: or, he trusteth not his own life}
Even if he’s chilling, feeling safe; his eyes are still on their ways, sus.
{Though} it be given him {to be} in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes {are} upon their ways.
They get hype for a hot minute, then they dip and get taken down; they’re out like corn tops, no cap.
They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all {other}, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn. {are gone: Heb. are not} {taken...: Heb. closed up}
And if it ain't like that now, who’s gonna call me a liar and make my words worthless?
And if {it be} not {so} now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
