Jeremiah Chapter 45
Ayo, this is what the prophet Jeremiah dropped on Baruch, son of Neriah, while he was jotting down these lines in the 4th year of Jehoiakim, king of Judah. No cap.
The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
The Lord, the God of Israel, was all like, "Pay attention, Baruch."
Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch;
You were saying, "Man, this is tough! The Lord's piling on mad pressure; I'm just out here struggling to breathe, no chill."
Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest.
So, make sure to hit him with this: The Lord's declaring, "Peep it, I'm about to dismantle what I crafted and uproot what I planted, even the entire land."
Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, {that} which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.
You out here chasing your big aspirations? Nah fam, don’t even. The Lord’s dropping some serious heat on everyone, but I got your six; your life’s secure wherever you go.
And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek {them} not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest.
