Isaiah Chapter 30
Yo, major vibes for those defiant peeps, says the Lord. They’re taking advice from the wrong crew and flexing without my spirit, just piling sin on top of sin, no cap.
Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
Out here, they’re trying to vibe with Egypt, not even checking with me first; thinking they can get strong off Pharaoh's hype, trusting in Egypt’s shadows!
That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
So, Pharaoh’s strength is gonna be your embarrassment, and relying on Egypt? Straight confusion, fr.
Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt {your} confusion.
His squad was chilling in Zoan, and his messengers cruised to Hanes.
For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.
Everyone felt sus about a crew that couldn’t do anything for them, just straight up shame and reproach, periodt.
They were all ashamed of a people {that} could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
The struggle with the wild beasts from the south: stepping into a land full of chaos, where lions and snakes are lurking, hauling their riches on young donkeys and camels to a crew that won’t even help them.
The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence {come} the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people {that} shall not profit {them}.
The Egyptians are just a no-show, helping zero; that’s why I’m saying, their strength is just sitting there, doing nothing.
For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength {is} to sit still. {concerning...: or, to her}
Now go, jot this down for them on a board, and stash it in a book, so it’s there for the future, forever and always.
Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: {the...: Heb. the latter day}
This is a rebellious crew, straight-up fibbing kids who won’t even hear the Lord’s law.
That this {is} a rebellious people, lying children, children {that} will not hear the law of the LORD:
They tell the seers, “Don’t peep that,” and to the prophets, “Don’t drop truth, just hit us with the soft stuff, hit us with those lies.”
Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
Move outta the way, turn aside, let the Holy One of Israel chill for a sec.
Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
So the Holy One of Israel is like, "Since you’re ignoring this word and vibing with oppression, that’s on you."
Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: {oppression: or, fraud}
This messed-up vibe is gonna hit you like a wall ready to fall, and it’s gonna be quick, no cap.
Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
He’s gonna smash it like a pot that shatters everywhere; no spare piece left to even grab a spark or scoop water.
And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water {withal} out of the pit. {the potters'...: Heb. the bottle of potters}
The Lord God, the Holy One of Israel says: You’ll be saved by chilling and resting; your strength is in staying calm, but you ain’t about that life.
For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
But you’re like, "Nah, we’re peacing out on horses!" So, you’ll dip; you think you’re fast, but your chasers will be even quicker.
But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
A thousand will bounce when just one calls them out; at five, you’ll be running till you’re just a beacon on a mountain, standing out.
One thousand {shall flee} at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill. {a beacon: or, a tree bereft of branches, or, boughs: or, a mast}
So the Lord is gonna chill, waiting to show you grace; He’s gonna flex mercy because He’s a God of judgment: blessed are those who wait on Him.
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD {is} a God of judgment: blessed {are} all they that wait for him.
The people will vibe in Zion, in Jerusalem: no more tears; He’ll be super gracious when you call out; He’ll hear you and respond.
For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
Even if the Lord gives you struggle bread and hard water, your teachers won’t be hidden anymore; you’ll see them for real.
And {though} the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers: {affliction: or, oppression}
Your ears are gonna catch a vibe from behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk it out," whether you go right or left.
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This {is} the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
You gotta ditch those silver idols and gold bling like they’re trash; just be like, "Get outta here."
Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence. {thy graven...: Heb. the graven images of thy silver} {cast: Heb. scatter}
He’ll drop rain on your crops, so you can grow mad food; the land will be all fat and thriving, and your cattle gonna feast in prime pastures.
Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.
The oxen and young donkeys that work the land will munch on clean feed, all prepped and ready to go.
The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan. {clean: or, savoury: Heb. leavened}
On every high mountain and hill, there’ll be rivers and streams when things get wild, and those towers gonna come crashing down.
And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers {and} streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall. {high hill: Heb. lifted up, etc}
The moonlight gonna shine like the sun, and the sun's light gonna be seven times brighter, like a week’s worth of light, when the Lord fixes up his people and heals their wounds.
Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
Yo, the name of the Lord is coming from far away, burning with rage, and it’s hefty; His lips are packed with fury, and His tongue like a fire that devours.
Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning {with} his anger, and the burden {thereof is} heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire: {burden...: or, grievousness of flame} {heavy: Heb. heaviness}
His breath gonna flow like a massive stream, reaching up to the neck, sifting the nations with a sieve of nonsense, and putting a bridle in the mouths of the people to make them trip.
And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and {there shall be} a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing {them} to err.
You’ll have a lit song, like in the night when a holy vibe is on; pure joy in your heart, like when you roll up with a pipe to the mountain of the Lord, the goated One of Israel.
Ye shall have a song, as in the night {when} a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. {mighty...: Heb. Rock}
The Lord’s gonna make His glorious voice pop off, showing the power of His arm, with all the anger and fire, scattering vibes, storms, and hailstones.
And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of {his} anger, and {with} the flame of a devouring fire, {with} scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. {his glorious...: Heb. the glory of his voice}
God's voice is gonna smash the Assyrian like, no cap, they're getting wrecked.
For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, {which} smote with a rod.
Wherever that staff rolls through, it’s gonna be a whole vibe with drums and harps; in the chaos, He’s ready to pop off.
And {in} every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, {it} shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it. {in every...: Heb. every passing of the rod founded} {lay...: Heb. cause to rest upon} {with it: or, against them}
Tophet's been set up for a minute; it’s deep and lit for the king, stacked with firewood; the Lord's breath is like a firestarter, fr.
For Tophet {is} ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made {it} deep {and} large: the pile thereof {is} fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it. {of old: Heb. from yesterday}
