Hosea Chapter 3
So God was like, "Listen, go show love to this girl who's all about her crew but kinda sus, just like how I vibe with Israel, even though they're out here chasing other deities and sipping on that wine."
Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of {her} friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine. {of wine: Heb. of grapes}
So I snagged her for fifteen pieces of silver and a whole lot of barley, like, a full homer and a half, no cap.
So I bought her to me for fifteen {pieces} of silver, and {for} an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley: {half...: Heb. lethech}
I said to her, "You’re gonna vibe with me for a while; no sneaky links and no chillin' with anyone else, 'cause I’m gonna be all in with you too, fr."
And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for {another} man: so {will} I also {be} for thee.
Israel's gonna be out here for a minute without a king, prince, sacrifice, or any of their idols, just vibing with no direction.
For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and {without} teraphim: {image: Heb. a standing, or, statue, or, pillar}
Eventually, Israel will come back, seek the Lord their God, and David their king; they’ll be shook by the Lord’s goodness in the last days.
Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
