Hebrews Chapter 6
So basically, let’s move past the fundamentals of Christ and step up our game; no need to keep going over the whole repent-and-believe situation.
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, {principles...: or, word of the beginning of}
We’re talking about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection, and eternal judgment, you know what I mean?
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
If God’s down for it, we’re ready to roll.
And this will we do, if God permit.
It’s kinda sus for those who were once enlightened, experienced the heavenly vibes, and were filled with the Holy Spirit.
For {it is} impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
They’ve tasted the solid word of God and the power of what’s next, no cap.
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they bounce back, it’s rough to lead them back to repentance; it’s like they’re throwing Jesus under the bus again.
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put {him} to an open shame.
The land drinks in the rain and brings forth good things for those who tend to it; that’s where God’s blessings flow.
For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: {by: or, for}
But if it’s just thorns and thistles, it’s getting tossed aside and is on that cursed path; it’s about to be set ablaze.
But that which beareth thorns and briers {is} rejected, and {is} nigh unto cursing; whose end {is} to be burned.
But for real, we’re vibing with better outcomes from you, actions that match salvation, even while keeping it 100.
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
God won’t forget your grind and love for His name; you’ve been serving the saints, and that’s fire.
For God {is} not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
We want you to keep that vibe and hope alive until the very end.
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
Don’t slack off; be like those who obtain the promises through faith and patience.
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
When God made a promise to Abraham, He had no one greater to swear by, so He swore by Himself, no cap.
For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
He said, 'For sure, I’m gonna bless you and multiply you.'
Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
And after he held on patiently, he bagged the promise.
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
People swear by something greater, and an oath seals the deal.
For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation {is} to them an end of all strife.
God wanted to show the heirs of the promise that His plan is legit, so He backed it up with an oath.
Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed {it} by an oath: {confirmed...: Gr. interposed himself by}
So, with two unchanging facts where God can’t lie, we have a strong hope to cling to, like a safe harbor for our souls.
That by two immutable things, in which {it was} impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
This hope is our anchor, solid and unwavering, and it goes beyond the veil.
Which {hope} we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Jesus is our legendary forerunner, high priest forever in the order of Melchisedec.
Whither the forerunner is for us entered, {even} Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
