Galatians Chapter 1
So Paul, an apostle, not like those basic people, but straight up from Jesus and God, who resurrected Him; vibes.
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
Shoutout to the churches in Galatia, all my crew with me:
And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:
Sending you peace and grace from God the Father and our homie Jesus Christ, fr.
Grace {be} to you and peace from God the Father, and {from} our Lord Jesus Christ,
He sacrificed Himself for our sins to rescue us from this sus world, all according to God's plan, periodt.
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
To Him goes all the glory forever and ever. Amen.
To whom {be} glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I’m lowkey shook that you guys dipped from the one who called you into Christ's grace for another gospel.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which isn’t even a legit gospel; some peeps are just trying to mess with you and twist Christ's message.
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But if we or even an angel from heaven drop a different gospel than what we shared, let them be cursed, no cap.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Just like I said before, I’ll say it again: if anyone preaches a different gospel than what you received, let them be cursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any {man} preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
Am I trying to win over humans or God? Do I wanna please people? If I was, I wouldn't be serving Christ, fr.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
But listen up, fam: the gospel I shared isn’t from humans.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
I didn’t get it from anyone, nor was I taught it, but through the revelation from Jesus Christ.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught {it}, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
You’ve heard about my background in the Jewish faith, how I was going hard persecuting the church and tearing it down.
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:
I was thriving in the Jewish tradition, way ahead of my peers, super passionate about my fam's customs.
And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. {equals: Gr. equals in years}
But when it was God's moment, He pulled me from my mom's womb and called me by His grace, lit.
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called {me} by his grace,
To reveal His Son in me so I could preach to the non-believers; didn’t even check in with anyone.
To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
I didn’t hit up Jerusalem to see the apostles before me; I went to Arabia and then back to Damascus.
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
After three years, I rolled into Jerusalem to see Peter and hung out with him for fifteen days.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. {went up: or, returned}
But I didn’t bump into any other apostles, just James, the brother of the Lord.
But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.
Now what I'm writing to you, just know, before God, I’m not lying.
Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.
Then I cruised into Syria and Cilicia;
Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
And the churches in Judea didn’t even recognize me by face.
And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
But they only heard that the guy who was once persecuting us now preaches the faith he tried to destroy.
But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
And they were out here giving glory to God because of me.
And they glorified God in me.
