Ezekiel Chapter 4
Ayo, son of man, pick up a tile and lay it down, then sketch out the city like Jerusalem, no cap.
Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, {even} Jerusalem:
Construct a siege, build a fort, and set up a ramp; camp against it and bring the battering rams, this is about to get intense.
And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set {battering} rams against it round about. {battering...: chief leaders}
Also, snag an iron pan and use it as a barrier between you and the city; face it, it's about to get besieged, and this is a message for Israel, fr.
Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it {for} a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This {shall be} a sign to the house of Israel. {an...: or, a flat plate, or, slice}
Chill on your left side and take on the sins of Israel; however long you lay there, that’s how long you'll bear their wrongdoing, periodt.
Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: {according} to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
I've put their sins on you for 390 days; you'll carry the burden of Israel's iniquity, that’s savage.
For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
Once you wrap that up, flip to your right side and bear the sins of Judah for 40 days, each day is a year, bet.
And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year. {each...: Heb. a day for a year, a day for a year}
Direct your face toward the siege of Jerusalem; your arm's gonna be out there, and you'll prophesy against it, lit.
Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm {shall be} uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
Just so you're aware, I’m gonna bind you up, and you can't change sides until the siege days are over, no cap.
And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege. {from one...: Heb. from thy side to thy side}
Also, grab some wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and fitches; toss them in one container and make bread for 390 days, that’s your meal plan.
Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, {according} to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof. {fitches: or, spelt}
Your meat's gotta be weighed out, 20 shekels a day; you can chow down whenever, no stress.
And thy meat which thou shalt eat {shall be} by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
You’ll drink water measured out, like a sixth of an hin; sip it here and there, fr.
Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
Eat it like barley cakes, but bake it using human dung in front of everyone, that’s wild.
And thou shalt eat it {as} barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
The Lord said, "This is how Israel’s gonna chow down on their defiled bread among the Gentiles where I send them, no cap."
And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
I was like, "Ah Lord God! My soul’s been clean; I've never eaten anything that died on its own or was torn apart, no sus food in my mouth."
Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
Then He was like, "I’m giving you cow dung instead of human dung, and you’ll use it to make your bread, bet."
Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
He said, "Son of man, I’m cutting off the bread supply in Jerusalem; they’ll eat by weight and be careful, plus drink water measured out, it’s gonna be a vibe."
Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
They’ll be low on bread and water, shocked at each other, and waste away because of their iniquity, fr.
That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.
