Ezekiel Chapter 36
Yo, fam, check this out! God’s got some words for the mountains of Israel: peep what the Lord’s saying.
Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:
The Lord God is all like, “Bet! The adversaries think they own you, acting all superior.”
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:
So prophesy this: The Lord God says, “Y’all got played and are just a joke to the nations, but they’re about to regret this.”
Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made {you} desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and {are} an infamy of the people: {Because: Heb. Because for because} {are...: or, ye are made to come up on the lip of the tongue}
Mountains of Israel, listen to the word from the Lord God! He’s addressing you, the hills, rivers, and valleys, ‘cause you’ve been treated poorly and left all alone.
Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that {are} round about; {rivers: or, bottoms, or, dales}
The Lord God’s like, “No cap, I’m heated against those nations thinking they can just swipe my land for kicks.”
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all {their} heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.
So prophesy about the land of Israel: the Lord God says, “I’m furious and I see how y’all have been humiliated by the nations.”
Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:
For real, the Lord God is saying, “I’ve got your back, and those nations around you? They’re about to taste their own disgrace.”
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that {are} about you, they shall bear their shame.
But you, mountains of Israel, get set to flourish and produce for my people; they’re about to roll in.
But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.
I’m fully invested in you, and I’ll flip things around; you’ll be cultivated and sown again, no cap.
For, behold, I {am} for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:
I’m about to grow the population on you, all of Israel, and the cities will be buzzing again, while the wastelands get revived.
And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, {even} all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:
I’m gonna level up the crew, both people and animals; they’ll thrive and bear fruit. I’ll bless you more than before, and you’ll know I’m the Lord, no cap.
And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better {unto you} than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I {am} the LORD.
For real, I’ll have my people walk on you, my crew Israel; they’ll take you on, and you’ll be their vibe, never leaving them empty again.
Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, {even} my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them {of men}.
The Lord God’s saying, “They’re calling you out, land, saying you’re out here taking lives and leaving nations behind.”
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, Thou {land} devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations;
So you won’t be taking lives anymore or leaving nations behind, says the Lord God.
Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD. {bereave: or, cause to fall}
I won’t allow people to hear the disgrace of the outsiders through you anymore, and you won’t carry the blame of the people ever again, says the Lord God.
Neither will I cause {men} to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD.
Plus, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Yo, son of man, when Israel was chilling in their own land, they messed it up with their actions; their vibe was like the nastiness of a woman on her period.
Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.
So I unleashed my wrath on them for the blood they shed on the land and for the idols that made it sus.
Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols {wherewith} they had polluted it:
I scattered them among the outsiders, and they got spread everywhere; based on their actions, I judged them.
And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
And when they entered the outsiders’ lands, they disrespected my holy name, saying, “These are the peeps of the Lord, and they bounced from his land.”
And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These {are} the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.
But I was hurt for my holy name, which Israel totally disrespected among the non-believers, wherever they went.
But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.
So tell the house of Israel, "Yo, here’s what the Lord God says: I ain't doing this for you, but for my holy name that you’ve disrespected among the outsiders, wherever you went."
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not {this} for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
I'm about to flex my great name, which got disrespected among the outsiders, and they'll know I’m the Lord when I show up in you for real, periodt.
And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I {am} the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. {their: or, your}
I'm bringing you out from the outsiders and taking you back to your own land, no cap.
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
Then I’ll pour clean water on you, and you’ll be refreshed: I’ll cleanse you from all your mess and all your fake idols.
Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
I’m giving you a new heart and a fresh spirit; I’ll replace your stony heart with a real one, fr.
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
I’ll put my spirit in you and guide you to live by my rules, and you’ll keep my judgments, no doubt.
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do {them}.
You’ll chill in the land I gave to your ancestors; you’ll be my peeps, and I’ll be your God, lit.
And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
I’ll save you from all your filthiness: I’ll call for the crops, make them grow, and there won’t be any famines on you.
I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.
I’ll make the fruit of the trees and fields thrive, so you won’t be feeling any shame from famines among the outsiders.
And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.
Y’all gonna remember your shady vibes and all the sus stuff you did, and you’ll feel hella guilty about it for your wrongdoings, no cap.
Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that {were} not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
Not doing this for you, fam, says the Lord God, just know you should be ashamed of your own actions, O house of Israel.
Not for your sakes do I {this}, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.
The Lord God says, when I clean you up from all your mess, you’ll chill in the cities, and the wrecked places will flourish.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause {you} to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
The land that was barren will get all the love, while it used to be a no-go zone for everyone passing through.
And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.
They’ll say, this place that was a total wreck is now vibing like the garden of Eden; the ruined cities are getting fixed up and living large.
And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities {are become} fenced, {and} are inhabited.
Then the outsiders surrounding you will see that I, the Lord, am restoring the wrecked areas and bringing life to what was dead: I, the Lord, said it, and I’m gonna make it happen.
Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined {places, and} plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken {it}, and I will do {it}.
The Lord God says, I’m gonna be asked about this by the house of Israel, and I’ll hook them up with a crew like a flock.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet {for} this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do {it} for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.
Just like the holy squad, like the flock of Jerusalem during the big feasts; the empty cities will be filled with peeps, and they’ll know I am the Lord.
As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I {am} the LORD. {holy...: Heb. flock of holy things}
