Ecclesiastes Chapter 9
So I reflected on all this and figured out that the righteous, the clever, and their vibes are in God's grip: no one really understands love or hate amidst everything happening.
For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, {are} in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred {by} all {that is} before them. {I considered...: Heb. I gave, or, set to my heart}
Everything hits the same for everybody: one outcome for the righteous and the wicked; for the good and the clean, and the sus; same goes for those who sacrifice and those who don’t: the good and the sinner are on equal ground; same with the one who swears and the one who respects an oath.
All {things come} alike to all: {there is} one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as {is} the good, so {is} the sinner; {and} he that sweareth, as {he} that feareth an oath.
This is honestly a grind under the sun, like it’s one outcome for all: people's hearts are filled with evil, and madness vibes with them while they’re alive, then they just bounce to the dead.
This {is} an evil among all {things} that are done under the sun, that {there is} one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness {is} in their heart while they live, and after that {they go} to the dead.
But if you’re still breathing, there’s hope: a living dog is way better than a dead lion, no cap.
For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
The living know they’re gonna kick the bucket: but the dead don’t know anything, and they aren’t getting any benefits; their names are just forgotten, periodt.
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Their love, hate, and envy are all out of the picture; they don’t get any slice of what goes down under the sun anymore.
Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any {thing} that is done under the sun.
Go munch on your bread with joy and sip your wine with a cheerful heart; God’s got your back on your hustle right now.
Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
Keep your style fresh and your head always looking sharp, no cap.
Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
Live it up with your wifey you adore all the days of your life, which God blessed you with under the sun, 'cause that’s your vibe in this life, and with all your grind under the sun.
Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that {is} thy portion in {this} life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun. {Live...: Heb. See, or, Enjoy life}
Whatever you find to tackle, do it with all your energy; 'cause there’s no work, no plans, no knowledge, and no wisdom in the grave, where you’re headed.
Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do {it} with thy might; for {there is} no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
I peeped again under the sun and noticed that the race isn’t for the swift, nor the battle for the strong, nor bread for the wise, nor riches for the clever; time and chance hit everyone.
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race {is} not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
For a dude doesn’t know his time: like fish caught in a sus net, and birds trapped in a snare; that’s how people get snagged in a rough time when it hits them outta the blue.
For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so {are} the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
I also spotted this wisdom under the sun, and it hit different:
This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it {seemed} great unto me:
There was a tiny city with few souls, and a big king rolled in, laid siege, and built massive defenses against it.
{There was} a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it:
There was a broke wise dude in the city, and with his wisdom, he saved the city; but nobody remembered that broke guy.
Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.
Then I said, Wisdom is way superior to strength: but the broke dude’s wisdom gets no shine, and his words are just brushed off.
Then said I, Wisdom {is} better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom {is} despised, and his words are not heard.
Wise guys get heard in silence more than the shouts of someone ruling over fools.
The words of wise {men are} heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
Wisdom is better than war tools: but one sinner can ruin a lot of good.
Wisdom {is} better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.
