2 Timothy Chapter 2
Ayo, my guy, stay solid in that grace coming from Christ Jesus.
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
So, all that info you’ve picked up from me? Pass it along to the real ones who can school others too.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. {among: or, by}
Keep it tough, like a real soldier for Jesus Christ, no cap.
Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
No soldier gets tangled up in life's drama; they gotta please the one who signed them up to fight.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of {this} life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
If you're gunning for victory, you gotta stick to the rules to snag that crown.
And if a man also strive for masteries, {yet} is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
The farmer putting in the grind gets first pick of the harvest, fr.
The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. {that...: or, labouring first, must be partaker of the fruits}
Think about what I’m dropping; may the Lord hit you with some wisdom.
Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.
Don’t sleep on this: Jesus Christ, from the line of David, rose from the dead, just as I laid out in my gospel.
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:
I'm dealing with mad struggles like a criminal, but God’s word is forever uncaged.
Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, {even} unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.
So, I’m hustling through it all for the chosen ones, so they can grab that salvation in Christ Jesus and eternal glory.
Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
Real talk: if we roll with him in death, we gonna vibe with him in life too, no cap.
{It is} a faithful saying: For if we be dead with {him}, we shall also live with {him}:
If we take the heat, we gonna rule with him; but if we bail on him, he’ll bail on us right back.
If we suffer, we shall also reign with {him}: if we deny {him}, he also will deny us:
Even when we doubt, he stays true; he ain't about to deny himself, periodt.
If we believe not, {yet} he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Remind them about this stuff, like, for real—tell them to avoid wasting time on pointless chatter that doesn’t help, just messes with the listeners.
Of these things put {them} in remembrance, charging {them} before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, {but} to the subverting of the hearers.
Get your study game on so you can flex for God, a worker who's not ashamed, splitting the truth like a pro.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
But bounce from all that empty talk; it just leads to more drama and bad vibes.
But shun profane {and} vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
Their words are like a virus, eating away—think Hymeneus and Philetus.
And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; {canker: or, gangrene}
They stumbled over the truth, claiming the resurrection's already happened and messing with some people’s faith.
Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
But for real, God's foundation is solid, with this seal: he knows who belongs to him. And everyone calling on Christ should dip from sin.
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. {sure: or, steady}
In a big crib, there’s more than just gold and silver; there's also wood and dirt stuff; some are for honor, others for dishonor.
But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
If a dude cleans up his life, he’s gonna be a total vibe, set apart and prepped for the big man's work, fr.
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, {and} prepared unto every good work.
Bounce from those young temptations: go after righteousness, faith, love, and peace with the homies who call on the Lord with a pure heart, no cap.
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Avoid those dumb and clueless questions, fam; they just stir up drama, periodt.
But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
The Lord’s servant shouldn’t be beefing; just keep it chill with everyone, teachable and patient, you feel?
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all {men}, apt to teach, patient, {patient: or, forbearing}
Gently teach those who don’t get it; maybe God will open their eyes to the truth, no cap.
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
So they can break free from the devil’s traps, since he’s got them locked down, for real.
