2 Thessalonians Chapter 3
Ayo fam, send up some prayers for us so the Lord's message can explode and get all that glory, just like it does for you guys.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have {free} course, and be glorified, even as {it is} with you: {have...: Gr. run}
We straight up need saving from those sus and shady folks, 'cause not everyone’s on that faith grind.
And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all {men} have not faith. {unreasonable: Gr. absurd}
The Lord’s got our back, keeping us fresh and away from all that bad energy.
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep {you} from evil.
We believe in the Lord when it comes to you, that you’ll follow through and keep grinding on everything we asked.
And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.
May the Lord steer your hearts towards that love for God and the chill patience we need while waiting for Christ.
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ. {patient...: or, patience of Christ}
So we’re telling you, fam, in the name of our Lord Jesus, to steer clear of any dude who's acting all wild, not sticking to the tradition we handed down.
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
You already know how we vibe; we didn’t act sus when we were around you.
For yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: for we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;
We weren’t freeloading off anyone's food; nah, we put in the work day and night so we wouldn’t owe you a thing.
Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
Not 'cause we couldn’t, but to show you how to roll with us.
Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
Even back when we were chilling with you, we said, 'If you don’t hustle, you don’t eat,' no cap.
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
We’ve caught wind that some of you are just being lazy, not putting in work, and acting like busybodies.
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
So we’re calling out those folks, in the name of our Lord Jesus, to chill and work quietly, enjoying their own meals.
Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
But you, fam, keep your hustle on and don’t get tired of doing good things.
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing. {be...: or, faint not}
And if anyone's not vibing with what we said in this letter, mark them out and don’t roll with them, let them feel that shame.
And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. {by...: or, signify that man by an epistle}
But don’t treat them like an enemy, just give them a little nudge like a bro.
Yet count {him} not as an enemy, but admonish {him} as a brother.
Now may the Lord of peace bless you with that peace all the time in every way. The Lord's got your back.
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord {be} with you all.
This is Paul’s shoutout, written with my own hand to sign every letter: like, I’m really writing this.
The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen. This second letter to the Thessalonians was penned from Athens.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ {be} with you all. Amen. «{The second epistle} to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.»
