2 Peter Chapter 1
Yo, Simon Peter here, straight up a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, sending good vibes to everyone who’s on the same faith wave as us through God’s rizz and our Savior, Jesus Christ:
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: {Simon: or, Symeon} {God...: Gr. of our God and Saviour}
May grace and peace flood your life through the knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus, no cap.
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
His divine power has hooked us up with everything we need for life and godliness, 'cause He’s calling us to flex in glory and virtue.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that {pertain} unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: {to: or, by}
We’ve got some mega goated promises so we can connect with the divine nature and dip from all the sus stuff in the world.
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Plus, work hard and stack your faith with some virtue; then add knowledge to that virtue, for real.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
Next up, add temperance to your knowledge; to temperance, patience; and to patience, godliness, no cap.
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
To godliness, add brotherly kindness; and to that kindness, charity, it’s all straight bussin'.
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
If you’ve got these traits and they’re thriving, you won’t be idle or unfruitful in knowing our Lord Jesus Christ.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make {you that ye shall} neither {be} barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. {barren: Gr. idle}
But if you’re missing these vibes, you’re basically blind and can’t peep the big picture, forgetting you got cleansed from your past sins.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
So fam, be serious about making your calling and election solid: if you pull off these things, you’ll never stumble, bet.
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
Then it’ll be a major flex when you enter the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, lit.
For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
I’m not sleeping on reminding you about these things, even though you’re already on game and grounded in the truth right now.
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know {them}, and be established in the present truth.
Yeah, I feel it’s crucial while I’m in this tent to keep dropping these reminders, no cap.
Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting {you} in remembrance;
Knowing I’ll soon ditch this tent, just like our Lord Jesus told me, for real.
Knowing that shortly I must put off {this} my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
I’ll ensure you remember these truths after I’m out, so you don’t forget.
Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
We weren’t just following sus stories; we shared the real power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, 'cause we peeped His majesty up close.
For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
He received honor and glory from God the Father, when a voice from the epic glory said, "This is my beloved Son, I’m totally vibing with Him."
For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
We heard that voice from heaven when we were with Him on that holy mountain, no cap.
And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
We’ve got a solid word of prophecy; you should definitely pay attention, like a light glowing in a dark space, until the day breaks and the day star rises in your hearts.
We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Just know this first: no prophecy of scripture is just some dude’s opinion, periodt.
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
Prophecy didn’t pop up from human will, but holy men of God spoke as they were inspired by the Holy Ghost, fr.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake {as they were} moved by the Holy Ghost. {in old time: or, at any time}
